“The sheets were clean but not much else. Bathroom was full of mold, faucets installed backwards, rough towels, cracked and peeling cabinets.”

“When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.”

“Staff and services were all excellent. No breakfast included but there are lots of restaurants nearby if you don’t want anything at the on site restaurant/breakfast buffet. The facilities are up to date and clean. There is plenty to parking as well.”

“I liked the kitchenette with a regular refrigerator so I could freeze my ice packs for my cooler. The room was clean and the bathroom was accessible for my husband who has mobility issues. The bed on the other hand is not what I would expect in a mobility accessible room. The bed needs to be a little higher and firmer to make it easier to get up from. Other than that it was a very nice room”

“The bar/restaurant/outdoor seating were all wonderful. The shampoo/conditioner bottles attached to the shower wall were empty, so that wasn’t a great way to start the day.”

“Weird stains on the sleeper sofa as well as the light fixtures. No additional bedsheets found in linen closet. Rancid smell in room, very few outlets. Roach found in bathroom, very stained and mildewed shower curtain. Refrigerator hardly cold enough to store food. Really dingy and unclean vibe overall, and very outdated property. Breakfast pretty standard. + 1 star for working AC.”

“We had issues with hearing the people next door to.much and they switched us room and it was an easy and they were very helpful. The atmosphere is good at the hotel.”

“Room was clean, quiet. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good. Just an overnight stay passing through the area and we were happy to find this gem after a long road trip!”

“The room was not as clean as I would've expected. The bathroom had a handful of hair in the shower and the grout needs replaced. There was a mystery stain on the stairs and crumbs on the couch. And I woke up to the TV glitching like crazy. The staff checked me in, but nothing particularly special about that. Not very satisfying considering the price.”
