“Loved the property - a couple of extra overs - the room was very warm when we arrived - I am sure we could have borrowed a fan but installing air con may be an option. Also for a hotel of this standing I would have expected a far better hair dryer than the one available. Lastly not that its was in any way the fault of the hotel but the weather on one day was terrible - the ferries were cancelled - I wonder therefore if it would have been a good PR exercise to perhaps put a cakes in the lounge...

“The quality and comfort food etc was excellent but my disappointment at check-in was paying a 3,5 % surcharge because I was paying by a cash card ( not even Amex or Diners) especially when Hotels .com guarantees the amount you pay at the time of booking This surcharge should be on the booking details. I have booked Hotels in Italy where they state payment in cash only no cards”
