“A really old-fashioned Japanese onsen experience like nothing else. We ate in the Japanese restaurant one night and French the other evening. The food was fantastic. Rooms were comfortable but old fashioned. I would highly recommend the room with a private onsen - we saw tanuke (Japanese raccoon dogs) approach whilst we were bathing which was a really special experience. We hiked to the ridge (5 hours return) through a beautiful forest.”

“素晴らしい旅の思い出となりました。まず、スタッフのおもてなしの数々。食事は日本料理を選びましたが、「本当に日本人に生まれてよかった。」と思える、料理のおいしさを堪能しました。夕食の２時間が、味の舌鼓とスタッフとのやり取りに家族の会話も弾み、あっという間の楽しいひと時となりました。お風呂は「立ち湯」に行ってみました。広い湯船の向こうには、もはや壁もガラスも無く、楓や自然の渓流がすぐそこに存在しています。別世界のような景色が3階の「立ち湯」にみられ、露天？の新しい、そして素晴らしい形態を体験することができました。是非また季節を変えて宿泊したいと思います。”

“Merveilleux endroit dans la nature au calme et très joliment decoré. Nao et sa fille Aloha nous ont chaleureusement accueilli et ont fait en sorte qu’on se sente tout de suite à l’aise. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux, nous avons déjà hâte de revenir pour un plus long séjour.”

“Zeer sfeervolle ryokan, met een uitstekend diner en ontbijt! Is niet goedkoop maar het geld waard. Er was ook goed rekening gehouden met mijn dieetrestricties. De mensen zijn heel vriendelijk. 's Morgens prachtig uitzicht! Enige minpunt voor mij was dat mijn neus helemaal op hol sloeg vanwege het stof. ”

“Very well impressed by this hotel in Matsumoto, one of the few I experienced in Japan with a very good quality-price relationship. The hotel is cheap compared to the Japanese average, the room was small as per most of the hotels in Japan, but the range of services offered was pretty competitive: Ok breakfast, good onsen on the last floor, free coffee and ramen at night. I would definitely recommend it for a brief stopover in Matsumoto.”
