Not that you would need to go elsewhere from here, but if you wanted to take a drive to visit surrounding areas, the Concan/ Frio River area is a 40-minute drive, Garner State Park is a 45-50 minute drive, the Campwood Dam is upriver & about a 20-minute drive and Park Chalk Bluff is down river and a 5–10-minute drive.
* If & when there hasn't been enough rain in our region the river directly in front of the property gets pretty shallow, but there is a spring-fed area just a 5-7minute walk up the river that never runs dry & perfect for swimming.
