Dahlet Gnien Is-Sultan

La base perfetta per le vostre vacanze con angolo cottura a Malta, il nostro appartamento è situato appena fuori le mura della città di La Valletta, una città patrimonio dell'umanità, a breve distanza da tutte le strutture e dai mezzi di trasporto. L'appartamento ha un balcone e una grande terrazza sul tetto, può ospitare fino a 8 persone ed è stato completamente rinnovato con mobili moderni ed eleganti ed elettrodomestici nuovi di zecca. L'appartamento può ospitare fino ad un massimo di 8 persone e dispone di una camera matrimoniale, una camera doppia e due divani letto matrimoniali nel soggiorno. Bagno / doccia moderno ed elegante e un secondo bagno per gli ospiti.

L'alloggio è spazioso, luminoso e arioso dappertutto con le caratteristiche tradizionali maltesi come le persiane in legno rustiche alle finestre e alle porte del balcone. C'è una sala TV separata con TV via cavo e un lettore DVD. Abbiamo anche una culla, che è adatta per bambini fino a 2 anni. Vengono fornite lenzuola e asciugamani ampi, ma si prega di portare gli asciugamani da spiaggia.

Grande cucina / sala per la colazione con un sacco di carattere (in stile retrò anni '50) e un tavolo da pranzo per sei, completamente attrezzato con macchina per il caffè, bollitore, tostapane, lavatrice, ferro da stiro. Siamo in grado di fornire un pacchetto di benvenuto con tè, caffè e panini per il tuo arrivo, se necessario.

Il balcone dell'appartamento è piccolo ma ha un tavolo in ferro battuto di dimensioni patio e due sedie - perfetto per la tua tazza di caffè mattutina. La terrazza sul tetto, tuttavia, è molto grande con alberi di arancio, gelsomino e bouganville, un grande tavolo da giardino e quattro sedie dove è possibile consumare i pasti all'aperto e due sedie a sdraio.

Posizione eccezionale

Punto di forza della casa è la sua posizione strategica, ideale per visitare La Valletta, le tre città e Gozo (utilizzando il fast ferry praticamente sotto casa). L’appartamento è molto grande e ben organizzato, ideale anche per soggiorni più lunghi. Debra risponde immediatamente ad ogni tua esigenza e Sandra è disponibile per eventuali bisogni sul posto; molto utile e opportuna la proposta di avere un taxi in aeroporto consigliato dalla proprietaria sopratutto nel caso, come il nostro, di un arrivo notturno; invece, sebbene abbiamo prenotato la stessa tipologia di trasporto per il rientro, se si vuole risparmiare un po’, ci si può organizzare per conto proprio una volta che si è capito come muoversi a Malta. Non ci sarebbe dispiaciuto avere un microonde in casa, e la pressione dell’acqua era un po’ bassa ma tutto questo nulla ha tolto alla comodità e bellezza della casa. Se torneró a Malta sceglieró lo stesso appartamento.

This apartment exceeded expectations!! Amazing location right on the harbour just a few minutes walk from the gozo ferry and the centre of Valletta. Great size. We were a family of 5 adults but were very comfortable. Everything you needed was supplied and the host and caretaker looked after us and for a reasonable fee supplying food on arrival and organizing transport from the airport which was amazing. We were all so happy with our stay!

We have just spent 3 nights here and wow - what a property! Our host arranged the taxi transfers for us and Sandra, the caretaker was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. We arranged with Sandra for some food for our arrival - milk, bread, cheese, tea/coffee etc. Property was very spacious, clean, good air-con, on a quiet road right near Victoria Gate. Only a few minutes walk to centre of Valleta. Lovely terrace to enjoy a drink on, and also access to a large roof terrace. The views are amazing and we would 100% recommend a stay in this apartment.

Fabulous! A really great spot to enjoy Valetta.Very clean, we were incredibly well looked after. Sandra organised local taxis who gave us phenomenal information on our way from the airport, and a food pack for our arrival, which meant we weren't scrambling for food when we arrived quite late on the first day!Comfy beds and sofas, brilliant view of and access to the harbour.Easy to navigate the city and find your way back - just head for "Victoria Gate".Quickest way into Valetta involced lots of steps ( several less step intensive walks - definitely check out the lifts at upper barakka (sp?) but we enjoyed the life of the steps!If I had to find any fault with the place it would only be that the shower wasn't very powerful, but it more than did the job so it's really not an issue. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommended. ** Added bonus that the end of the day almost always involved downhill because of where it is, definitely an advantage **

Comfortable beds and quiet! A delightfully large apartment with view over the harbour and small sunny balcony The brilliant Baraka lift very closeby for access to centre of Valletta or steps (but quite a few!). Ferries to Gozo and the Three Cities close by too.Taxi from (and back to) airport arranged by host Sandra worked a treat. No hesitation in fully recommending the flat.

Great stay living like a local. Easy communications and check in. We took up the offer of a pre booked taxi from the airport that was waiting our (very delayed) arrival. Apartment is one floor up 2 flights of stairs in a small block View from the kitchen and living room is of Valletta harbour, across the rooftop area of the neighbouring property, with the seperate roof top terrace giving an even grander view. Worth the 2 flights of stairs from the apartment. Property is a step back in time giving you the feeling of living like a local in a private home. Comfortable but not modern, homely not sterile. In the peak of summer the air conditioning was exceptionally good at keeping you cool. There is a small balcony off the living room that while a little cluttered offers a nice way to start your day with breakfast with a view. Washing machine came in handy, and an additional seperate toilet was a bonus. Wifi was easy to connect to. Short stroll down to the Gozo ferry and the boats to the three cities. Stroll up to the nearby bridge bar and up the steps to all that Valletta has to offer- property is on the edge of the main strip, just along from the upper Barracka Gardens. Perfect spot! One final call out- Sandra our contact for check in and check out was lovely and made sure we had settled in okay. She also provided grocery items for our arrival which was worth the small additional charge. She really made us feel welcome.

Exceeded expectations

Everything about this property is even better than you read! Debra communicated really well, giving us the option of a driver meeting us and Sandra (housekeeper) meeting us and buying essential provisions. Both options were a godsend. Sandra is great- very friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was a problem.The apartment location is ideal. Easy to get to the ferry to Gozo or to the 3 cities. There is a swimming area 10-15 mins away and the central area of Valletta is a simple walk. You’re close to everything. The bus station is 10 minutes away and you can go anywhere from there.The apartment is well stocked with essentials. It is comfortable with great air con, comfy beds and seating. The balcony looks over the harbour. There is a washing machine- laundry essentials provided.In all, it was a brilliant home away from home. A definite 5 stars!

Great location!

The stay was great, once we got in!There was some miscommunication about what time we could arrive at the property, which caused a lot of angst because we had booked a full day tour based on what we had thought we had heard about the possibility of leaving our luggage early. After about an hour and some frantic texting, we got in, and it all worked out in the end! Very cute place and great location! Would definitely stay there again!!

Great location

This apartment is in the best location to really enjoy Malta. We enjoyed Valetta, bus journeys to various locations, cheap Bolt journeys as well as comfortably enjoyed the taxi pick up and taking to the airport organised by Debra / Sandra. In terms of the location in Valetta, you have 2 easy options of going to the bus terminus, either via the Barrakka lift or the stairs. Food is easily obtained either from Wembley or the Food court and there is also Spar on the corner opposite St John’s Co-cathedral. There are several street food stalls at the bus terminus or pastizzerias in Valetta. In terms of where we were able to go in just a week, we managed bus journeys to Golden Bay and l-Ghadira bay. Marsaxlokk had lots of great fish restaurants and very close to St Peter’s Pool for the adventurous. The apartment is right next to the Fast Gozo ferry, so we enjoyed a day trip where we hired a car for the day to visit remote beaches. My eldest kids enjoyed a social night life and felt safe everywhere they went. Bus services or Bolt supported their travels. Valetta is becoming more popular now and you can see this with more and more bars opening up whether on quirky steps / roads or other pedestrianised roads. Staying at Debra’s apartment means you are right in the heart of the social atmosphere, yet a block or 2 away, enabling you to not be impacted by any noise. Sandra on the ground was very helpful and there to help with showing us around the apartment.

In a quiet area, but just a short walk to all the action in town. Overlooks the Grand Harbor. Close to ferries to three cities and Gozo. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars was because the layout is a little choppy . The living room is small.

Lovely flat looking out over Valetta Harbour

This flat was perfect for us with beautiful views over Valetta harbour. The views from the shared roof terrace were prenominal. The flat itself is everything it say it is online. We used the recommended taxi and the driver let us in the flat, which meant our arrival was easy and uncomplicated. We also opted for the welcome pack for 25 euros and it was a very good buy. Easy to get into central Valetta - either upstairs or using the lift ( 1 euros there and back) it was ideally placed for a lovely holiday.
