“We booked three nights, and left after the first night. The property refunded us the two nights we didn’t stay, which is the least they could do considering the health hazard they pose. We stayed in the Anderson Valley room. Riddled with mold to the point that it triggered an asthma attack. The room clearly had water damage throughout based on the warped floor and the smell. What you’re seeing online is nothing close to reality. The staff that we spoke to over the phone were friendly, but...

“The only place to stay near Mendocino! It’s enchanting and will elevate any vacation. While it’s truly a place to escape and very much geared for adults we had our two older daughters (14 and 11) and they were welcomed and treated like royalty while we were there. The food at the hotel is superb along with the staff. The staff is all local and they all had great recommendations, don’t snooze on everything they tell you to do and eat! We cannot wait to go back!”

“Our stay here was okay, largely thanks to the staff who were incredibly pleasant and friendly. However, the room itself left a lot to be desired. The AC didn't work during our stay, and the building feels quite run-down and in need of serious repair. Because we anticipated this, we actually brought our own sheets, pillows, a Swiffer, cleaning wipes, and Lysol to deep-clean the room before unpacking. The customer service is great, but the physical property needs some major TLC.”

“My husband, dog, and I stayed at Mendocino Cove during their soft opening in June 2026. The property was so peaceful, pet-friendly, and extremely clean. It was a little zen oasis between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. It was so convenient to have to have pickleball courts to play at anytime, and the private beach was an absolute gem.
