La Baruffa is a beautifully designed Venetian retreat in the peaceful Incurabili district of Dorsoduro, perfectly positioned between the Guggenheim Collection and the sparkling waters of the Zattere promenade. With its own private garden, bespoke interiors and an authentic Venetian atmosphere, this charming apartment offers a peaceful escape while keeping the cultural highlights of Venice close at hand.

Designed by ArchFlorence as part of the Views on Venice collection, La Baruffa combines craftsmanship, custom furnishings and carefully coordinated colours to create a distinctive and welcoming home. The apartment is arranged over two floors, sleeps up to 5 guests and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

PRIVATE GARDEN

The apartment's independent entrance opens into a delightful private “giardino segreto” — a semi-paved garden filled with palm trees, climbing roses, shrubs, ivy and flowering plants.

Wooden sun loungers provide a place to relax outdoors, while additional seating and a dining suite beneath a lantern-lit pergola create a beautiful setting for al fresco meals and evening drinks. It is a rare and peaceful outdoor space in the heart of Venice.

GROUND FLOOR

A glazed door leads from the garden into the luxurious open-plan living area. The interiors combine high-end hessian shades and coordinated patterns with colourful accents and off-white wooden timbers.

The sitting and TV area is comfortably furnished with sofas, with the apartment's original decorative fireplace providing a charming focal point.

The contemporary kitchen combines off-white, wood and marble and features top-of-the-range appliances, including a Bosch oven, together with a breakfast bar and stools. Beside it is a dining area with banquette seating and a dining table for six.

Also on the ground floor is a charming studio-cum-bedroom, particularly suitable for a senior member of the group. Decorated in blue and linen tones, it includes a single day bed and a private marble bathroom with a shower finished in distinctive iridescent “mermaid tail” tiling.

FIRST FLOOR

An open-sided staircase leads to the first floor, where the remaining two bedrooms are located.

The handsome master bedroom overlooks the quiet Calle Delle Mende and is decorated in blue, linen and off-white tones. It features a double bed, built-in wardrobe and Kilim-topped striped floorboards, together with a deluxe marble en-suite bathroom with bathtub.

The third bedroom overlooks sunny Calle Navaro and is decorated in warm muscovado brown and deep demerara yellow. It has twin beds, which can be converted into a double upon request, a built-in wardrobe and matching striped floorboards. Its marble en-suite bathroom features a shower enclosed in Moroccan-themed tiling.

La Baruffa sleeps up to 5 guests across three bedrooms:

• Ground-floor studio bedroom with single day bed and en-suite shower room
• Master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub
• Third bedroom with twin beds, convertible to a double on request, and en-suite shower room

LOCATION

Situated in the tranquil Incurabili area of Dorsoduro, La Baruffa offers a wonderful opportunity to experience a quieter side of Venice.

The apartment is close to the Guggenheim Collection and the Zattere promenade, while Dorsoduro's museums, canals, cafés and atmospheric streets are all nearby. Its position on the Dorsoduro Museum Mile makes it particularly appealing to guests interested in Venice's art and culture.

A LARGER GROUP?

Another apartment, Gondolieri, is available in the same building. It features an “altana” rooftop terrace and provides an option for larger groups who would like to stay close together while occupying separate apartments.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Air-conditioning and heating are subject to municipality regulations. Generally, heating is available from mid-October to mid-April, while air-conditioning is available from mid-April to mid-October. Please contact the host for further information.

Rates include gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, final cleaning, welcome on arrival and check-in until 20:00. Internet access and air-conditioning are included when available at the apartment. Telephone charges, where applicable, are extra.

For stays of more than seven nights, a weekly change of bed linen and towels is included.

CHECK-IN & TOURIST TAX

Standard check-in is from 15:00 to 20:00. Arrivals before 15:00 can be arranged upon request.

Arrivals between 20:00 and midnight incur a €50 fee. Check-in between midnight and 1:00 a.m. can be arranged with a €100 surcharge. Arrivals after 1:00 a.m. are available only upon request.

The Venice Tourist Tax is €4 per person per night and applies to the first five consecutive nights. It is payable in cash in euros upon arrival.
