Hotel a Vernon State Wildlife Area

“Great location and amenities”

“Easy, friendly check-in and checkout. Actually were able to check in early to get to the Brewer World Series game early.”

“Staff is really helpful, and the place is clean.”

“Clean. Friendly staff. Liked Early breakfast available at 5am. But hot food wasn’t very warm. Room set up good. Despite hotels efforts the room smelled of old smoke. Liked ac thermostat. Had to get own hand towels and wash clothes, but readily available on housekeeper cart.”

“The property was in super shape. Was told it was all redone over a 6 month period of time. My girlfriend and I stayed 3 nites. Very quiet at nite. Simple but good and healthy breakfast selections. Pool and whirlpool were clean and the right temperature. Room was very clean with good shower pressure. Only suggestion would be a night light or dimmer switch for the track lighting recessed behind the bed which, by the way, is a great feature since it does not leave a glare.”

“Old hotel, old rooms”

“The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Someone was always cleaning, emptying the trash, wiping things down, vacuuming, etc. They definitely went above and beyond!”

“We've always liked this hotel. Its right off the interstate and near family. It does have a very tight parking lot.”

“Older establishment, clean rooms, pleasant staff.”

“This hotel appears to have gone through a half face lift, definitely shows its age. Would only stay here again in a pinch. Not great.”

“Price was good, room was clean and staff was very helpful.”

“Room and halls showed signs of wear/age. The desk chair in our room had stains on the back and a pretty large tear. Bathroom could’ve used a fan. It was a comfortable stay, but we prefer more updated hotels in the area.”

“The heating unit in our room was not functioning. There seemed to be only one very tired staffer in the facility, and she made some ineffectual attempts to deal with the problem. She first said we couldn't get a different room (without explaining why), but later backed off.”
