“We came here to Lake Providence, LA to celebrate the life of our Mother, Carrie King Williams(Madear). Her parents were William & Queenie King.This was her hometown. I remember riding in her car as a child coming to visit my grandparents and seeing this home across from the lake over 50 years ago. She grew up and graduated from Lake Providence H.S. “My son and I were in town for one night visiting the Vicksburg National Battlefield. Found this place and it was perfect. Very clean, large, great amenities. Easily walkable to downtown. “Pros: Very responsive property team; impeccably clean; beautiful decor, perfect place for us to explore some Vicksburg history; lovely neighbors. Cons: the only places to sit where a day bed we had to crawl across or two metal, backless stools. Lovely to look at, but not ideal for people trying to complete book work on a deadline. ”

“The photos of the townhouse were accurate. It was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It was conveniently located to everything you would need to do in Clinton. The owner was easy to reach and responded immediately to questions. The only improvements I would suggest would be to fix the leaking faucet in the bath tub and tighten the fixtures. I would recommend this property to friends and be willing to book again, if needed.”

“The only thing we encountered was climbing the stairs.no side bars to hood on to & steps were too high in length.4 of us was over 64.one just slept on couch because he has difficulty getting up stairs.I’m 64 the renter & had a very hard time.overall the cabin was a great stay.was there only for a relative funeral.which we enjoyed family time together & one evening of a great southern meal.the lake was dried up but my niece who was 5 cabins down from us has a beautiful view of Lake with a pier...

“What a unique place to stay when you're in the "Old South". We had a few good restaurants within walking distance but couldn't go anywhere but the Italian place three minutes up the street.”

“Location was excellent. Probably would be good if an instruction sheet for "older" guest about "hot spot" internet connection and heaters, etc. We were able to work it ok. The place felt real "homey" and we enjoyed our stay.”
