Summary:

Relax by the water’s edge and enjoy the surrounding birdlife, kayak through Franklin Island, or read a book on the balcony at this lovely two storey holiday home. Boulevard Café is just a short walk for breakfast or a coffee and cake. For the more adventurous a slightly further walk towards the beach will have you at the ocean on Franklin Parade, where there is a bike track and glorious walk along the sandy beach towards Whalers Dining and The Bluff. Wi-Fi and Linen Included - beds made.



The Space:

Downstairs

Stepping inside the front door is a spacious open plan living, dining, family area with a direct view to the water. You’ll enjoy comfortable lounges to watch TV or dining for six. The kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric cooktop and oven, tea, coffee and more.



On this level is a third toilet with hand basin, which is by the laundry that includes a washing machine and direct access to the enclosed outdoor area.

Ducted air-conditioning throughout the home.



The property is completely fenced and there is a large double carport at the rear for parking.



Upstairs

A central living area with adjacent three bedrooms and a main bathroom.



Bedroom one includes a queen bed, built in robe and an ensuite with toilet, shower & vanity. Sit on the balcony overlooking the water and enjoy the idyllic surroundings.

Bedroom two has a queen bed and built in robe.

Bedroom three has a double bed and built in robe.



The main bathroom is lovely and modern and includes a separate powder room, separate, toilet and separate room with bath and shower.

A nice stay marred somewhat by a house not really set up for long term stay. A distinct lack of cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, glassware, and all things required to really do more than a very basic meal. Wi-Fi may as well not be offered as it was rubbish. There was no BBQ despite one being listed and zero outdoor furniture which negates the attraction of the outdoor space listed! No cushions on couches despite them being pictured and an entire empty space on the second floor that could have been better utilised as a kids space with just a few bean bags or something! There was no remote provided for the roller door for the car space which meant leaving a gate open to access the roller door from inside the garage hence no security. All small things that added up to a place that should have been more comfortable and enjoyable but due to lack of foresight or care by the host they amounted to a diminished experience. The house itself is perfectly situated to two safe man made lakes which are perfect for the kids to swim at and an easy walk to the beach. Cannot compliment Harris Real Estate enough for providing emergency wifi, BBQ, cutlery, crockeryand glasses on a Sunday as well!

The property was clean but bland. TV is only in downstairs living area, no furniture upstairs living area. Main bed room looks out on to the lake.So there is some view which is nice.You have to pick up and drop off the keys at Harris Estate.The built ins do not have any drawers and no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. There were no instructions on how to use the hot plate and the staff didn't know either. No one came out to help. So bought stuff but couldn't use the cook top to cook. There were about 4 glasses and 4 cups. A big family would struggle. Mini carton of long life milk to start off would help. Poor quality pans. Last but not the least the internet was abysmal. Pathetic and unusable. It's a scam. They should say NO internet because that is what it was like.
