“This is an adorable B&B and the proprietors were so kind. My flight was horribly delayed (and stressful as I almost didn't find a way to even get to Cheboygan to pick my son up from camp) and I didn't end up arriving until 3:00 in the morning. I was texting with Ann and sure enough she was sitting on their back porch waiting for me when I arrived. I slept through breakfast and she had saved some for me that she reheated when I was up. “The patio is private with an amazing river view. It's the perfect place to relax. The owners are the kindest people and very helpful. Will definitely stay again. 5 stars aren't enough!”

“Air conditioner stopped blowing cold during the night, and was very loud. Water in tub ran brown the first 3 minutes, then finally ran clear. Room was clean, staff did a good job, room just hasn’t been updated in a very long time.”

“The manager got us into a cottage when we arrived, very nice man. Cottage right on the beach, very quaint and rustic. Definitely be back again.”

“Value to dollar ratio was perfect I got exactly what I was paying for. Internet was undependable, beach weed maintenance was non existent, Employees using the guest laundry area kept guest from being able to use the laundry area.”

Rooms were nice and clean- we had 2 rooms with 2 queen beds each and they were a good size to hold suitcases and still had space to move around in. Air conditioning worked well. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. There's no breakfast at this hotel, but there is coffee down in the lobby. The beach is right out the door, so that was wonderful! “I called because we were going to have a late check-in and they said no problem, someone was at the desk all night. Well they didn’t tell us that we had to go two motels down to check in. The rooms weee disgusting. The carpet was dirty, the toilet was so gross. The two beds were were different heights. The shower head is for someone under 5 ft tall. I would not recommend.”

“Location was great! Hotel is very dated…the room was clean, but the room and the hallways had a STRONG fragrance smell…almost like they were trying to cover up an odor. Probably would not stay there again”

“I didn’t know that I booked an old hotel that cabins of mackinaw own . I was assuming that I will stay in a cabin . Anyway we had to upgrade to a cabin and pay a fee . The cabin wasn’t bad at all but I wish they could change the carpet and the awful dirty couch that was there .”

“The balcony had moss growing on it and the hand rail to room 28 was coming off the wall. The trash can for the room was super small. We told the housekeeper that was broke and no one came to fix it. We stayed for two nights and no one came to fix clean the room. With all the sand from the beach made the floor all sandy. The pictures online of the place were deceiving and the place on the outside did not match. The tiles in the pool were coming off.”
