Soft Landing Cottage Duplex – North End

Soft Landing Cottage is a relaxed, coastal duplex nestled in Virginia Beach’s quiet North End. This cozy, family- and dog-friendly retreat is located on the ocean side of Atlantic Avenue, so there’s no busy road to cross—just a short, easy walk straight to the beach. First Landing State Park is just one block away for exploring scenic trails and natural surroundings.

The cottage offers three comfortable bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, along with a fenced backyard and outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off after a day in the sand and enjoying the coastal breeze.

$30 per dog per night pet fee applies and must be added to the reservation (maximum of 2 dogs). Dogs are subject to approval and insurance guidelines.

The location was excellent, on the quiet side of the North End and with easy access to the residential beaches. Very dog friendly, too, so our pup had a great time. Even a fenced yard for easy potty breaks!The hosts are so thoughtful and let us reschedule after a snowstorm so we could actually enjoy our time. The mattresses and couches are comfortable and the shower and bathrooms are nice and bright. Towels provided and whatever you need is in the kitchen also. Thanks so much!!!!!!

Our host was extremely thoughtful and accommodating! We were in vA Beach to escape a big snow/ice storm in Richmond and our hosts made sure we were super warm. When they noticed the heat was not increasing on the thermostat, they sent in a technician and portable heaters. Their kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Virginia Beach house. The location was awesome — just about a 3-minute walk to the beach, which made it super easy, especially with our dog.The house was very clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. There were four adults staying, and we had more than enough space. Everything we needed was there, and it felt like a place you could actually relax in, not just sleep.It was great to find such a dog-friendly place, and the area was quiet and nice for walks. Overall, it was an easy, comfortable stay, and we’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The check-in was seamless. The property was clean, and the pictures were accurate. It had everything we needed for a long weekend of golf, dominoes, and watching football. It's directly on Atlantic Avenue but road noise was not overwhelming, and beach access was worth it. Easy drive or Uber to restaurants etc. I would definitely stay again.

What an incredible property. When we arrived, we found everything immaculate, and well maintained. Everything we needed was on location, and we were able to start vacationing right from the start. Fantastic Northern End VA Beach accommodations!!Everything I wanted for a few nights at the beach! Located a very short walk to the beach was my favorite part!! Also close to a state park and really good restaurants (especially the seafood!) Also the place was clean, stocked with necessities, had a fenced in yard for our dogs. Good communication with the host, they were very helpful with all our requests. Would stay here again!! Thanks so much!!

It was a charming beach house, which met all our needs for a relaxing summer vacation. The fenced in yard was great for our dogs. The owner was very friendly as we were checking out. The location close to the beach was a huge plus.

Another Wonderful Stay!

We’ve visited this cute beach cottage several times previously and continue to enjoy every minute. Jeff is quite responsive, quickly resolving any need. The owners have a knack for decorating the cottage to create an ambience of sun and surf:-) Very short walk to beach. Added benefit- bringing our sweet dog to cottage! So much in the area-dolphin cruise, Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E, Virginia Aquarium, restaurants (we like Bubba’s), evening music on the Boardwalk, and great massages! We visited family and enjoyed a private karaoke party at Grammy’s Korean BBQ! Clean, cool, comfortable! Thank you for another great stay, Cher and Jeff!

Exactly what we were looking for.

The house is so cute and clean. A nice fenced in front yard so our furbaby could people watch. The beach was not packed at all and just a short walk with no streets to cross.

Great Beach Retreat!

Great location, just steps from the beach. The house is well equipped with anything you might need and having a washer and dryer wads a huge bonus. Plenty of beach chairs and toys were included too. We would 100% rent again.
