Just as pictured

We found this house to be very comfortable and functional. The hosts made everything easy. My favorite aspects were the close proximity to the beach and the pool/hot tub area in the back. We had a great time staying at this house!

Overall this was a great place to stay. The house was had ample parking, was roomy, and clean when we arrived. The location was great (in addition to being down the street from the beach, the aquarium and a water park with go-karts and some amusement rides was very close by as well). The pool was nice for a soak and was great for small children since it was not deep. The rooftop deck was nice given we stayed there for the 4th of July, we were able to view the fireworks shows very clearly. Overall, I'd recommend renting this property if you're looking for a vacation place in VA Beach with the family.

House size and amenities were exceptional. Croatan is a beautiful neighborhood with many lovely homes. Enjoyed a very functional deck grill, fully stocked kitchen and some of the beach amenities, especially the chairs. Unfortunate that the beach had heavy seaweed and presence of jelly fish larvae. Made the 5 minute drive to Virginia Beach which was clean of both elements in the water.

The location was and walk to the beach was better than expected. The pool was tiny but it was very much enjoyed due to the hot and humid weather.

Great Beach House

Very positive experience. Kitchen is well stocked with all we needed. Beach is a short walk. Everything was comfortable and very roomy. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was dirty. Filthy carpets, grubby kitchen, dirty windows, cockroaches. Yuck. Provided one tea towel, not enough soap in bathrooms, had to request beach towels a couple of times. Not very happy considering the cost of the property

My family had a great time! We really enjoyed the location and the accommodations. Condo was well stocked with beach items (umbrella, cart, chairs) they even had bikes for us ... we'll utilize them next time when we return. The pool was great after a dip in the Ocean! Cheers, Craig

The property is in need of an update. The carpet is stained, the screen doors were difficult to open, some of the outdoor furniture was broken, It was difficult to find the outdooor lights, and two unkown men entered the home without notification...very scary!

Great location, Ok house

Booking and checking into the house was easy and straightforward. We were thrilled when we pulled up to the house, looking forward to our stay. Communication with the host was good and pretty fast. I really wish the house had more pillowcases so we were able to use the extra pillows in the closets since the beds only had 1 pillow per person. We ended up going out and buying our own. Kitchen was pretty well stocked, only wish there was a hand mixer. Case was labeled a hand mixer but there was no attachment for the mixer. Our biggest issue was the bugs. I sent a picture of the bug and was told it was a beetle but I’m 99.9% sure it was a cockroach. I fully understand the area is subtropical and bugs are normal, but all other locations we’ve stayed at in the last 5-6 years in VB never had bugs like this. And even after they sent the exterminator out, we killed 8+ of these very large cockroach looking bugs. We also noticed when checking the rooms to make sure we had all of our belongings that there was a sticky trap under one bed with 2 of the large bugs attached to it. The bushes along the drive are a little dangerous, you cannot see past to see if any cars or people are coming. Thankfully my car alerted me that I was about to hit some people rollerblading down the street. Overall, it was a good stay but I don’t think we’ll be coming back to this house.

Great Week at the Beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family just got home from a week at Santosha and had a wonderful trip. This property was beautifully renovated. It is beautiful, spacious, and very well stocked! There were sheets, towels, and a starter set of things like hand and dish soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. There were bikes, lots of beach chairs (8 maybe?), umbrellas, a large beach cart, and lots of toys for the beach. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need in terms of dishes, pans, utensils, trays, etc. Honestly, it was way better stocked than my own kitchen and I'm missing all of the storage space now that I'm home! One of my favorite things about this rental was that there were tons of "little things" like a welcome bowl on the counter with snacks, etc. There were games, books, and little toys on the book shelves. Just so many fun and inviting touches. I found it to be clean for a rental property. The backyard area was paved and fenced and included a pool (very small but nice for the kids), hot tub, table and chairs and grill. It is a large space and we spent a lot of time back there just hanging out, letting the kids swim. It was a very short walk to a fairly private beach. There is a life guard on duty at the beach. A good bit of sand had recently washed away during a storm but there is still ample space to enjoy the beach. The house is very close to the aquarium and a short drive (3 minutes, maybe) to the boardwalk area. The property is close to a lot of amenities and you can have take out or groceries delivered to the property. However, it is located in a nice residential area that you can also feel comfortable walking, jogging, or biking. Everything went really well and smooth with this trip and we would definitely stay at this property again!

Comfortable home in a wonderful location

Overall, we enjoyed the home very much-house is undergoing some upgrades which are lovely and will make it a beautiful and very comfortable home. Unfortunately, not everything was done before our visit and we couldn’t take advantage of all the home’s advertised amenities. We were especially looking forward to the crow’s nest deck and we’re very disappointed it was not available for use. It would have been nice to know beforehand. There were a few other minor items that were missing, too. Anchor Realty was very responsive when we needed them. It just would have been nice if listing online had outlined possible changes to current property.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Average to poor , the home was not very clean. downstairs bathroom was filthy, mold in the shower/tub, dirt on the floor, unfinished caulk and paint around the top of shower/tub area. pillows on beds are flat/old. downstair queen bdrm bedspread was dirty. kitchen was very disorganized. carpet could use a cleaning. has instahot water and every shower had spits of cold water. for the price not worth it

Reviewer Comments: Santosha is a beautiful property in a quiet family oriented neighborhood;a block and a half to the beach (short blocks), and only a short drive to downtown and restaurants. Every need of the guests had been carefully thought out. The kitchen is well equipped; all you need is your food. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The washer and dryer were a great convenience - no laundry to do back home! The living/dining area has plenty of room for relaxing and dining. The property faces toward the ocean, but you won't see it unless you go up to the rooftop deck. We didn't spend much time there, though. The Croatan beach is lovely and uncrowded. A much shorter walk to the water than you'll find on the north end of Va. Beach. Beach cart and chairs were in great condition and made the trip to the water so easy. The hot tub was well maintained. Two thing - there wouldn't be enough hot water for 12 people to shower consecutively - you'd have to stagger them. There were 5 of us, and we had just enough hot water in the morning. Also, there are no shades on the rooftop access doors, which raises the temperature of the 3rd (master) level considerably. Still, we'd go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for providing an immaculate comfortable home for our family to vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful house for a large group. It sleeps a large number, it has multiple spaces for different smaller groups to hang out (several decks, a hot tub and three floors), has a fully equipped kitchen, and is a 5 minute walk from the beach.The only negatives were that we couldn't get the trundle bed to pull out, we didn't discover one of the beds until the second day (a pullout chair converts to a single bed) and the bottom deck was smaller than the realty told us, so there wasn't enough room to set up tables for dinner there (we still managed inside). Generally though, it was a beautiful house, excellent location, and worked out very well.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, well furnished, and the beach was only a 2 minute walk away. The only thing we had an issue with was the WiFi was incredibly slow. The house and beach are located in a very quiet, nice area. There is plenty of off street parking. We had a great time!
