Medieval House built in 1200 in the centre

Accogliente, spaziosa, confortevole, su due livelli che si affacciano in un caratteristico e silenzioso vicolo dentro le meravigliose mura di Viterbo, nei pressi di Porta Romana ed alle spalle di Porta San Leonardo, a due passi dal quartiere medievale di San Pellegrino. Per immergersi nella bellezza del silenzio e nel brivido di mille anni di storia. Senza rinunciare a qualche comodità: letti confortevoli, riscaldamento a radiatori, aria condizionata, wi-fi e su richiesta, posto a pagamento per auto. Attraverso l'ingresso indipendente una scala in pietra peperino conduce al primo piano dove ci sono una camera da letto con letto matrimoniale e tende oscuranti per rendere il vostro sonno oltremodo riposante, un grande bagno con vasca ed una cucina-soggiorno attrezzata. Una scala in legno porta al secondo piano dove c'è un ampio ambiente open mansardato, solo parzialmente oscurabile, dotato di letto matrimoniale e di poltrona letto per un posto extra. Completa il piano un piccolo bagno con doccia. Riscaldamento, aria condizionata e wi-fi ad entrambi i livelli.

A great location,very well appointed even with extra groceries! Walking distance to everything,if driving be aware of one way streets and restricted parking .It was great having free parking in the garage.Paula was an excellent hostess we would highlyreccomend staying here.

Great stay in Viterbo

Very clean with lots of nice touches. Tea bags, sugar, spices, olive oil and laundry detergent ptovided.We only needed a very small amount and it was nice to have them already there. Easy to find even on the narrow streets. Be sure to enter through the Porta Romana gate. Our Navigation took us in a different way through a ZTL one time. About 10 steps just inside front door that were unexpected but managed fine. Beautifully decorated and comfortable.

Home away from home

We really, really, really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO and in Viterbo every day for the entire two week visit. Paola was absolutely incredibly responsive to everything - every email, every text and went way out of her way to assist us, even going to the train station to help us figure out how to get to our next destination in Assisi. She was incredible and very, very much appreciated. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and in Viterbo. Everything was well stocked, clean, and very comfortable. We cooked many of our meals at "home", and while not a gourmet kitchen, it was very adequate for our needs.I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to the Viterbo area.

A great property in a great walking city - close to everything. A great jumping off place for day trips in Lazio like Bolsena and Orvieto. Also, the Porta Romana train station is a 6 minute walk - from there you have access to all of Italy. Many excellent restaurants are within a six minute walk - there’s even a great Italian steakhouse, Lo Spito, 50 feet from the condo. The place is a real gem.

Charming and Medieval!

This apartment is a great home base if you want to visit all the neighboring towns such as Bomarzo, Orvieto or Bagnoregio. It's inside the walled city of Viterbo, which feels like something straight out of Game of Thrones! Our host, Paola, was wonderful and welcoming and met us at the apartment. There is a large garage to park in and the apartment itself is lovely and big. We especially loved the bedroom upstairs. You can easily walk to many cool bars and restaurants. The San Pellegrino area is very hip and very happening on the weekends! We loved it here and would definitely come back!

A magical stay

If you'd like to immerse yourself in Italian culture, this is most certainly the way to do it. We enjoyed three weeks in this wonderful apartment steeped in history but renovated to a high standard. Paula has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and was completely accessible anytime I had the occasion to reach out to her (via WhatsApp). The kitchen was well used during my stay. It has a gas stovetop and electric oven which work great. The cookware is adequate and utensils, although counter space is limited. There is a good-sized refrigerator, which is often not the case in European rentals. There were some herbs, salt/pepper, olive oil, and even some pasta and rice available. The beds are comfortable and the linen nice, and plenty of clean towels. We slept super well, very quiet despite being in the center of a city. Arriving at the end of August, the AC was most appreciated and worked quite well. After about 10 days we never used it again. The town of Viterbo is charming and you'll find everything you need within walking distance. We loved the pace of life there... the church bells ring at 7:30 am - although not loud enough to wake you up if sleeping. Lots of nice coffee shops and eating places. Hardly heard any English spoken anywhere, which we loved. There are so many lovely towns and thermal spring baths around Viterbo, and lots of Etruscan history there. We can't wait to go back! The Real Italy

What a wonderful time we enjoyed in Viterbo! Paola was a most helpful and communicative host from the minute we booked and she was just as great when we met in person at the check in. The property was ideal and perfectly in keeping with the style of old Viterbo. The apartment has all that one could need for a stay and is cosy without being cramped. We enjoyed every aspect of it and until one stays there the value of the parking space cannot be overstated! We hope we get the opportunity to return some day.

My family and I spent some days at this beautiful home and the place was amazing, very well located. Paola the host couldn't be nicer, she went above and beyond by shipping some items we left behind, and also very helpful at the check-in. What a beautiful apartment! And Paola is exceptional in her assistance and helpfulness and friendliness. the beds are comfortable and the bathtub is fantastic!! BUT the 2nd bathroom with the shower did not work for 4/5 of the days we were there. It was no ones fault, and Paola fixed it as soon as she was able. Still, we were without a shower and no bathroom with the upstairs bdrm.

Superbe maison ancienne en plein centre de Viterbo

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans la maison. Paola nous a très gentillement accueilli, la proprété du logement était impeccable. Le petit balcon d'en haut qui donne est un vrai plus pour admirer une jolie vue sur les toits anciens et un magnifique ciel. On s'y sent comme à la maison avec également le garage à 2 min à pied pour la voiture. Paola nous a donné plein de bons conseils pour visiter la région. Nous y retournerons très certainement prochainement!

Even better than expected

The property is perfectly located in a quiet alley near enough to everything in Viterbo. The parking garage is large and a wonderful addition to the rental, especially during the heatwave. This medieval home is clean, spacious and beautiful. The host has provided everything you need. The unit is even more amazing than the photos depict. Imagining the history of the rock walls is a delight. But maybe the best part of the rental was the host. She was kind and gracious. She takes great pride in her rental home and it shows. We were fortunate to get to speak with her on our 1st day and she explained the house’s features and also some of the history. She is very helpful with ideas for our ventures around Viterbo as well. I recommend this rental to anyone who wants to truly enjoy the sites and history of Viterbo.
