Thanks for staying with us Linette! So glad you enjoyed your stay. I wanted to address the neighborhood. In the past, this particular neighborhood was one of Waco's prestigious areas. The City of Waco and the citizens are committed to renovating all of downtown which includes businesses and homes. Although this process takes times, Waco has made great strides. The homes across the street from Fannies have all been redone and the word is the home next door will also be renovated soon. Carolyn, we are so much appreciate your compliments on the house & location. It is truly a wonderful home and the history of Fannie's is a truly great story. I did want to address the mattress though. It took me a while to respond to your comment because I wanted to call a few previous guest including the guest that just checked out yesterday. None of those guest remember the bed being uncomfortable. But to your credit, we looked at the bed today in between guest and it actually did have minor indentions on both sides of the mattress. We purchased our mattresses locally and I called the manager today. He is processing a claim for us and we should have a new mattress this coming Monday. Thanks a bunch for bringing this to our attention. For future guest reading this review. D&L Vacation Rentals is a very different company. We do our very best to make each guest stay as good as possible. But we cannot do that if we do not know of the problem until after your stay. When you reach out to us via messaging, text or a call, we try to respond promptly. There is no automated system with our company. No pressing 1,2,3,4,5 for best option. You get a real person that wants to help you if you are in need. We're not perfect but we sure try to be.
