“Great overnight stay”

“Booked on a last minute whim for a trip to the theatre in Aylesbury. Fantastic place - super friendly staff, high quality accommodation with a few extra nice touches on top. The breakfast was genuinely amongst the very best I’ve ever been served. Highly recommended place to stay.”

“This B&B was exceptional. The attention to detail was out of this world. It felt almost like staying in a top class hotel. Everything was laid on and Helen was superb in anticipating everthing I needed. And the breakfast - well - no words to describe how great it was. Again the attention to the smallest detail was fantastic. Will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area. Well Done!”

“Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace. ”

“Absolutely superb in every way. BUT.... The room(s) was/are under a sloped, tiled roof. Weather very warm. But it was unbearably hot. Unable to sleep properly. A real shame, as it was otherwise excellent.”

“Quite a good and decent and beautiful 4 star hotel. Service and staff were however far from being 4 star hotel. I had water run out in my bathroom while having shower, very laughable. Breakfast was incredibly poor and not representative of 4 star hotel.”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Tree. The room and place were lovely and quite modern considering how old the building is. There was only one shower towel and half a toilet roll when we checked into our room, as well as 1 of each tea/coffee so it seemed our room was prepared for one, however the staff were very helpful to sort this for us straight away. The location was good for what we wanted, and we enjoyed a lovely evening in Chinnor (although be aware it's a 30 minute walk on...

“Dog friendly rooms are on ground floor. These aren't comparable to other standard rooms, but charged at same rate plus an additional £20 cleaning charge. Our room was basically furnished with painted plain MDF wardrobe in corner. Window was open in all these rooms presumably to help with smell. Carpets we're stained and smell was very noticeable when windows closed. Despite these comments to reception, we were still charged the additional cleaning fee.”
