  • ALOHA, questa bella, sabbia bianca casa di fronte alla spiaggia si trova, proprio di fronte a Turtle Cove Beach. Per non parlare, che è anche vicino alla famosa Makaha Surf Beach. Naturalmente tutte le spiagge sul lato ovest sono belle ed è uno dei segreti meglio custoditi di Oahu. Il nostro condominio è un perfetto get-away, vacanza. È possibile ascoltare le onde che entrano in riva tutta la notte e, a volte si può svegliare a vedere grandi tartarughe marine e delfini nuotare intorno. Si potrebbe anche vedere un sonno tenuta a condividere la nostra spiaggia di sabbia, nelle prime ore del mattino. Durante i mesi di novembre ad aprile, si ottiene la possibilità di vedere le balene, appena oltre il surf. I tramonti su questo lato dell'isola sono semplicemente spettacolare, quasi breataking. Celebrare ogni rituale serale con i nostri vicini, che soffia Conch gusci, come il sole tramonta. Questo tranquillo spettacolare spiaggia mezzo miglio è l'ideale per lo snorkeling. Se siete alla ricerca di relax, bellissime spiagge di sabbia bianca (che non sono cantò), e ideale per nuotare e fare snorkeling? QUESTO È!
    E 'solo un 1 miglio di distanza dal Makaha Champion Golf Course, Aulani Disney Resort e il Ko'Olina Resort, compreso il loro mondo di classe campo da golf, molti negozi e ottimi ristoranti. Immediatamente nella stessa area, si può anche godere Paradise Cove, uno spettacolo polinesiano preferito, e Luau. Un'altra attività durante il giorno è il nostro parco acquatico Wet & Wild, a pochi minuti a est di Ko'Olina Resort. Inoltre vi è Costco sulla strada e negozi locali.

Right on the beach

Spent a month here and loved it. Tracy was the perfect host. Her main goal was to insure we were happy. The place is literally on the beach. Very few people there during the week and not many more on the weekends. Everybody we encountered there was super friendly. The road out front can be noisy sometimes with loud motors or sirens but the sound of the waves is all I heard in the bedroom. You sleep around 100 feet from the ocean. We would stay here again.

Perfect relaxing beachfront rental

Tracy is so kind and accommodating! The property is cute and you cannot beat the sunset views! I would absolutely stay again and cannot recommend it enough. The location is a bit far from everything, but that means you avoid the beach crowds!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Condo. It was equipped with everything you could need or want. Snorkel equipment, beach chairs, binoculars. The patio faces west for enjoying spectacular sunsets over your private beach.

Ocean front paradise

What a find! We totally loved Tracy's condo - outfitted with everything we could ever need and in a setting that was perfect. The kitchen was fully equipped, including shopping bags, drinks in the fridge and a pound of local coffee. We cooked fewer meals than we'd expected given the access to great local takeout that we enjoyed in the best ocean front dining available anywhere - the condo lanai. The lanai has plenty of sitting and dining space. The beach was sparsely used, making it an ideal and quiet place to spend our days watching whales, turtles, dolphins and a wayward monk seal who used it as a rest stop one day. Easy access to hiking at Ka'ena and Lahilahi points and, timed appropriately, really didn't have problems with the traffic in getting up to North Shore and over to Diamond and Koko Head hiking. The layout of the condo is perfect, with the bedroom on the ocean side, where the waves drown out the street noise you get in the living room. The condo was super clean and recently updated with beautiful flooring throughout and a large tile shower. It's clear Tracy takes great care with the condo and attention to her guests. As noted in other reviews, we too saw homeless but absolutely no problems and we saw alot of work being done by County workers and a group of neighbors to cleanup a nearby encampment and restore beach access and hiking area. We loved the low-key vibe of the west side, perfect weather and a local-feel (not resort-style) vacation which fit us perfectly. Thanks, Tracy - we can't wait to return!

A wonderful place to stay for a month.

First an overview of the area and property. If you have done some research you have read about the area not being safe. Well yes there is homeless living in tents, but that is all over Oahu. Really they keep to themselves. And yes the traffic is crazy all over the island. Condo very safe, you need a key fob to get into the gated parking area, you need a key fob to get into the gated condo and also in the elevator and a key or pass code to your room..Security on duty at night. Bradley does a great job keeping everything neat and clean around the condo. Laundry facility very nice and very clean. Beach so...beautiful, waves can be a little rough at times. Tracy provides everything you need to enjoy your time at the beach. Sunsets on the balcony superb and morning coffee the best. Kitchen very well stocked, bed very comfy, apt furnishing very nice and great wi-fi. We spent our days on the beach, going out to eat. A luau at Paradise Cove (great). Driving to Haleiwa a fun day of shopping and the Food Trucks. Farmers Market every Saturday morning to buy fresh fruit, fish and veggies or Malasada (doughnuts) so good. Attended a most welcoming church Scared Heart Catholic Church. We met so many nice people at the condo. All in all a great experience. Mahalo Tracy for making sure all was good. Great time in Hawaii

If you want to be just steps away from beautiful beach and enjoy sunset from your balcony with a glass of wine it is a beautiful place to stay. On one side of appartment you see and hear ocean and on another you see spectacular mountains and hear roosters . The apartment has everything you would need on vacation from cooking equipment to umbrelas, tour guides, maps, books for reading, beach chairs and much more . Place was clean, quiet and safe. Tracy was very friendly and easy to work with and she made sure that we had all that we needed to enjoy our stay in the apartment. We enjoyed local food and locals. The appartment was just right in size for two of us. Definitely we will consider coming back. As they say location... location. The condominium is not a new but location is worth a million dollars. Hope you will have a great time if you decide to stay there as we did.

I was stationed in Kaneohe during my time in the Navy 11 or so years ago, i learned of the Makaha beach cabanas when my parents lucked upon them when searching for a place to stay to come visit me, so when my opportunity to return to Oahu for my 5th anniversary/ really late honeymoon came i knew where i wanted to be. Tracy's condo is perfect in every respect i can think of, it's well appointed and furnished and a perfect location, the price per night is fantastic, she has provided nearly every amenity you could need at least for the wife and me. The beach is amazing, it's perfectly situated to watch the sunset straight in front of you from the comfy balcony or sitting in the sand, the sound of waves crashing all night is wonderful and swimming with the turtles and gorgeous fish of the shallow reef is awesome, I didn't take the opportunity but apparently the hike up Turtle rock is definitely worth the walk for the view of the valley and reef, I was too busy lounging in the surf. Tracy, the staff, and other tenants are very welcoming and accommodating, I literally cannot praise our choice of vacation rental enough. From Makaha it's a bit of a drive to Waikiki but who wants to hang out there when Oahu offers so much more than the crowds of tourists and souvenir shops. I cannot wait till i have another opportunity to visit Oahu and I will be looking for Tracy's condo again, mahalo from South Carolina, and enjoy your stay as much as we did. Also try any of the nearby restaurants in Wainae and Kapolei there are many and all i tried didn't disappoint.

Tracy's condo had everything necessary to make life at a beach front property as close to home.

This was our first time to Hawaii. Mostly there for our daughter 's soccer tournament so didn't get to do as much sightseeing as we would have liked. But to be able to watch sunsets from the lanai, watch sea turtles without having to go to the tourist stops and the weather being perfect the entire time. Coming back to Tracy's condo after a long day at the soccer fields was relaxing and peaceful. Would definitely come back.

30th Anniversary trip to Hawaii

My wife and I stayed 9 days at this beautiful oceanfront condo. The condo is right on the beach. The balcony looks out to beach and ocean. We were able to go to sleep every night and wake up every morning listening to the waves with the balcony doors open. The beach was never crowded and we could walk down to the beach anytime we wanted. The condo is located a little far from the rest of the island activities but it is worth it.

Amazing Sunsets and Whale Watching!!

Wow! Sunsets are just incredible, whale watching from the lanai, see turtles swimming along the waves! Stunning! This is the third time my husband and I stayed at the Cabanas and we love it here! Tracy was very friendly and accommodating, made the whole renting process a breeze! Her condo is beautifully decorated with everything we needed! Fully stocked kitchen, tons of beach toys and gear. We will definitely be back, it’s been amazing, Tracy!! Mahalo!!

We had a very good time at the condo. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Not only is it on the beach but the lani has the most perfect view. We ate all of our meals looking at the beach, the sunsets are also outstanding. I definitely recommend this location.

Sunset Oasis

Where do I begin? Everything described in Tracy's description is spot on. The condo is very clean and includes everything you need. Tracy met us when we arrived and explained the security system etc. The real features, in my estimation, are the view from the lanai, the exceptional beach that greets you immediately, along with gorgeous sunsets accompanied by the 'conch' players each evening,. The bummer....is that we have to return to dark skies and RAIN.

Incredible Escape from Busy Life

My husband and I booked this escape not knowing too much and were completely blown away! The location of the condo is just perfect... it is literally ON the beach! We arrived on Oahu with lists of activities to do and things to see. We ended up loving our location so much that we spent most days swimming, snorkeling and reading right on the beach by the condo. Our favourite parts of the condo: - Fully stocked kitchen meant that we could cook our own meals (we bought food from Costco and Walmart 20 mins away) - Bed was super comfy - Condo had everything you need for the beach to make packing light - beach chairs, umbrella, pool noodles (to float in the ocean), snorkel gear, beach towels Other reviewers mentioned that it can be noisy. Sure, the living room can be noisy (traffic), but from the bedroom you can't hear anything. There isn't AC, but if you remember to keep the patio doors and front windows open the ocean breeze keeps the unit nice and cool through the day. There also isn't a ton of shopping/food right near the condo, that is a short drive away. But to be honest, this was our favourite part of this vacation. We loved that it was far away from the busy/commercial parts of Hawaii and was tucked amongst where locals live. If you want a quiet beach, peaceful sunset, and time to relax... this is your place! Friends of ours paid 3x the price to be in busy, crowded Waikiki and they were so jealous when they saw our pictures! We're already planning how to come back with friends next time!

Fabulous Place

My wife and I had such a wonderful time at this location. The view from the lanai is stunning and you can hear the waves going to bed at night and waking up in the morning. We were able to watch whales from the lanai with binoculars (which were also provided). The condo has everything that you could possibly need with a well stocked kitchen. Plus the condo is equipment with any beach equipment you could possibly need (snorkeling gear, wake boards, beach chairs, etc). Though you can tell this is not a tourist section of the island, all the people around us were very friendly and treated us as locals even though they knew we were guests. Tracy met us at the location and provided us with all the information that we needed. The best part of this location it is away from the masses of tourists but not to far is you want to enjoy the tourist locations. I would high recommend this place!

Awesome accommodations, spectacular location, great price

I cannot say enough about staying at this condo at Makaha Beach Cabanas. The location is perfect. It is on the west side of the island, so it is farther from some of the "tourist" areas, but that is what we liked most about it. The view from our lanai was breathtaking. The ocean is literally steps away. We fell asleep listening to the waves each night and ate breakfast on the lanai overlooking the beach each morning. The beach is so quiet and secluded it is like having your own private beach. The condo was immaculate, well equipped, and very quiet. I totally disagree with the previous comment about noise. We did not hear our neighbors at all, the only noise we heard all week was the sound of the waves, and we had no bugs or cockroaches! Tracy met us when we arrived from the airport and showed us around the property. She went above and beyond, providing everything from snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella and cooler to sunscreen and aloe gel for sunburn. She even had cold sodas, and bottled water in the frig when we arrived, as well as coffee and basic cooking supplies. The Wainae boat harbor is only 5 minutes away ( highly recommend the dolphin excursions), as is the Tamura super market. The Ko Olina lagoons and Disney Paradise Cove Luau are about 20 minutes away. Yes, the west side of the island is more isolated, but you can get to Pearl Harbor, and Honolulu area in about 45 minutes. We had no difficulty exploring the entire island from Pearl Harbor to Diamond Head to Hauama Bay to the North Shore. I HIGHLY recommend this condo if you are planning a visit to Oahu. So glad we did not stay in crowded Waikiki.

A Special Beach front experience

We have rented from Tracy for the past three winters for two months in each of our visits. We've been coming to Oahu for over 20 years and if you want to be on an almost private beach, this is the place. It's not Waikiki, thank goodness, but this unit is one of best equipped and most comfortable in the Cabanas and sits on one of the most beautiful beaches on Oahu. Sunsets are spectacular and the winter months offer great whale watching opportunities right from the beach or your lanai. Tracy is always helpful and will assist to make your visit most enjoyable. The unit is immaculate when you arrive and comfortably well equipped. The nearby grocery stores are vastly improved from years ago and most everything needed is readily available. Traffic through Nanakuli is difficult at times but the project to "fix the problem" is now underway. Once at the Cabanas you will definitely enjoy a bit of paradise and the ocean sounds will lull you to a good nights rest. We totally enjoy this place and will return many times in the future. O'ahu is a great vacation spot and ranks very high in our vacation places. Lots of great things to do for all. My wife and I loved this condo for the view it offers of the sunset and beach. Access to the beach is just a few steps away from the elevator. Security is pretty good with a security guard on property 24x7. Good restaurants / grocery stores are close by. The owner is responsive and helpful. However there are several areas of concerns, specifically for families with young kids and/or those who wish to sightsee Oahu. 1) The beach is not kid friendly. There is no life guard and the beach gets deep very quickly, causing very rough/uneven waves. There are plenty of other kid friendly beaches like Ko-olina, Waikiki etc. on Oahu. http://www.paradisebabyco.com/family-friendly-oahu-2/oahus-best-beaches-for-kids/. The owner says this condo is 1 mile from Ko-Olina/ Disney resort, but it is more like ~12 miles on a 1 lane road with mostly bumper to bumper traffic (1+ hr each way). 2) The condo has cockroaches in the bathroom, living room and kitchen. My kids needed lots of assurances before using the restroom. 3) The traffic into and out of Makaha is a nightmare on weekdays. The last 10 miles takes over an hour. So if you intention is to travel/ sight see around Oahu, you are better off staying in a more central location. 4) The condo has no A/C but is not a problem at nights as you have a nice cross-breeze going through the condo. But during afternoons, with no cross-breeze, the apt gets pretty toasty. We had to gets ourselves out of the condo during afternoons due to the heat. 5) The condo is pretty noisy. The walls are paper thin and if either of the neighbors turn on their television, you can hear word to word. Also there is an emergency vehicle driving by every few minutes pretty much all night. Our recommendation of this property is for someone who choose to stay in the apt to relax and are tolerant to take the afternoon heat and the noise. The sunsets and the beach views from the condo are amazing and worth it. For others, there are better places near Ko-Olina, Waikki. We will definitely end up there for our next trip.

Spectacular View and Private Beach!

My husband and I absolutely loved this condo. It had everything we would ever need available for us...beach equipment, towels, coffee pot, etc. We could not have asked for a better home away from home. Although we had fun running all around the Island we could not wait to get back to our condo and away from the hustle and bustle. Did I mention you have a private beach?? We slept like babies listening to the waves rolling in every night. Can't wait to return!

Truly a Home Away from Home

My husband and I came here as a second honey moon and after the first day we absolutely didn't want to ever leave! Tracy was wonderful to work with in reserving her condo that is conveniently located in paradise. This is a great spot for a couple as it's cozy yet spacious enough for two. If you are looking for a place to call home during your travels, this is the place. We had a wonderful time driving down to the nearby supermarket, grabbing a few groceries, and cooking up a nice dinner that we would enjoy on the patio watching the sunset. The available snorkeling gear was perfect to race out into the waves right outside your door. There is also a wonderful SUP shop down the road that Tracy directed us to and we had a great time taking the boards out for a day. It really was wonderful to drive around the island to different locations each day and enjoy each and every beach and the hustle and bustle of the rest of the island, only to come home to this serene location. We absolutely cannot wait for another opportunity to come back!

Hidden jewel in the Pacific Ocean.

Well, This great condo it's already been my only and best choice twice, and for sure it will be my next time as well. The building itself is a very nice, well maintained structure and people here are very friendly with locals and tourists. Tracy, the owner, is a wonderful woman, she takes care of all your needs and she will never bother you during your stay. The condo is equipped with all the possible things you may need during your stay. This side of Oahu is not a good choice if you are looking for parties, excessive shopping or fancy places, this is perfect for those who love nature and the ocean. There are supermarkets near by so you can do your own groceries and cook like you do at home. There is a great restaurant very closed called HANNARA, they serve very very good local food and the most delicious banana pancakes I've never tried before. Sleeping to the wonderful sound of the waves has no price and this place surely beats many other options by far. Thank you Tracy and sorry for the late review.

Great Vacation!

This condo had all the comforts of home just a few steps away from a beautiful beach. The kitchen is well equipped and the condo beautifully furnished. Everything you need to enjoy the beach is provided--towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrella, boogie boards. Tracy was great to work with through the whole process. We arrived at 9:30 pm and she was there to greet us and show us through the condo!
