Aloha and welcome to Cottage Nene, your serene Hawaiian escape nestled in the lush Makaha Valley. This beautifully designed home combines luxurious comfort, tropical landscape, and breathtaking natural surroundings. Located just minutes from a 7-mile stretch of pristine, uncrowded beaches, you can enjoy the best of both worlds—the peaceful ambiance of the mountains and the inviting beauty of Hawaii's coastline. Nearby, you'll also find Kaena Point Park, where hiking, ocean sports, and seasonal whale watching (January to March) offer incredible opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Your spacious 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, built in 2022, offers an elegant interior design complemented by tall ceilings—14 feet in the living room and 9 feet throughout the rest of the house—creating an airy, open feel. Relax on the comfortable leather sofas in the living room or settle into the TV room for a movie night on the 65" Samsung Smart TV with free Netflix. Each bedroom is thoughtfully decorated, with the primary suite and second bedrooms also featuring Smart TVs for added convenience.

The primary suite includes a king bed, a cot, and a travel crib. The second bedroom offers a queen bed. For additional guests, the downstairs TV room provides a queen sofa bed. The plush Sealy Posturepedic mattresses, topped with 2-inch memory foam, ensure everyone sleeps comfortably. Two twin rollaway beds provide plenty of space for the whole group.

The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals using fresh, local ingredients—delivered right to your door from Farm Link Hawaii. Coffee lovers will enjoy the Keurig and filter-free coffee makers, with dark roast coffee, instant coffee, and organic green tea provided on the house. The bathrooms are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other essentials, and the home even includes laundry detergent for your convenience.

The garden is filled with vibrant plants like Birds of Paradise, pink ginger, and Manila Palms, creating a serene backdrop for your island retreat. And while you'll love the peaceful vibe, the home is conveniently located—just a short drive from shopping at Costco in Kapolei and local grocery stores like Tamura Supermarket and Waianae Mall, where you can also visit the farmers' market on Saturdays. Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

This house is located on the west coast where there are considerably fewer tourism hotspots, but still several things to do and a peaceful setting. The beaches aren't great for swimming, but are beautiful and a great place to clear your mind while reading a good book. The house has everything we needed, including extra bedding, kitchen supplies, and beach toys. Visiting other parts of the island is only limited by your patience with the insane traffic. This house was perfect for our stay.
