“The owner was not a very friendly person, I went to the office the second morning to ask him how I put my air conditioner on and he just told me there is a thermostat on the wall, end of story. I was fortunate enough to run into the cleaning lady who was talking to a gentleman outside, I told him where I had gone, she asked if I needed help, she came to my room showed me how to turn it on and set it, waited a minute to make sure it was good then left. “I always like to use the indoor pool. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the pool as the steps into the pool were very slippery and felt like they had not been brushed down recently. I had to hold onto the railing which didn't quite reach over the last step. I felt insecure stepping onto the last step. It was the same getting out. “WHAT a discovery! I loved my stay at Canalside -- the room was beautifully updated, but still had those historic squeaky wooden floors that remind everyone to be a little quieter (it worked!).
