“My daughter and 2 twin granddaughters had a great time. The place was in a nice location and had everything we needed. Was nice that it had beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards and other beach toys for the kids as we spent most of the time at many of the beaches on the island. It is close to the Coconut Marketplace, so if we needed anything, shopping, food, restaurants, was nice that it was walking distance. Best of all the weather was awesome! Mahalo!”

“This was the perfect place for our stay!! We absolutely loved the River cottage and highly recommend it to couples. It’s renovated, with all the amenities, and a built in alarm clock (roosters lol) Fern Grotto Inn was a beautiful place and will forever be a special place for us. ”

“Great Condo that was in a very quiet complex. No noise between walls like other condos we have stayed at. Felt very private and we had everything that we needed to have a wonderful stay! Appreciate all of the cookware, cooking sprays, oils and basic spices. Boogie boards and beach chairs came in handy for days at the beach! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!”

“This condo unit is right above the beach and overlooks Wailua Bay Beach. We could watch surfers, swimmers and fishermen right from our lanai. We saw whales only twice; a long distance away; but also saw a large pod of dolphins right in front. The location is an easy drive to anywhere else on the island.”

“Condo was as described. We arrived after dark and had difficulty finding the exact condo due to lack of outdoor lighting. Walking up to the units with cellphone light attempting to find unit felt a little much. Condo was clean, beds comfy, although queen squeaked a lot. Kitchen had all that was needed.”

“Could not get over the view. The resort was gorgeous and the balcony showed it all including the beach. The room was basic but fit our needs. Plenty of towels for the two of us for beach and home. The pool and hot tub were great. The beach on the property was not great. Not for swimming, but nice to walk down and listen to from our room. Did not love the resort daily parking fee. It was as much as our car rental and because the property was secluded you had to pay it. Location was great tho....

“We had a great stay for 7 days. We loved being able to sit on the lanai and watch the ships and harbor activity. The condo had everything we could possibility need including quite a few pantry staples and condiments. Very traditional Hawaiian style home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“This is an older facility but kept in good shape. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are pretty average. Great view of the ocean and pools from our room on the 5th floor. The beach is wonderful for walking but not recommended for swimming due to the coral. “In general, better than nothing. Apartments are under renovation: make sure you get one with wooden floor and not carpet. Bathroom had no window or outside opening: lot of humidity and smell. Air conditioning was only in the bedroom not in the living room. Refrigerator had no water, so we had to fill bottles at the swimming pool. Cleaning is only done once in a week and not very well. “It is a great location...sometimes hard to get out onto the highway. The beach is not swimmable but great views. Plenty of pools and the staff were all pleasant. Roosters will make sure you get up in plenty of time to enjoy the day. Lots of plastic on the beach....come on people.”

"Horrible experieience at Hilton Garden Inn. in 6 days they cleaned the rooms only three times, even if we asked the full service everyday. The personnel was not very friendly with us when we told them about the problems. Their answer was always: "it is too late now, nobody can clean the room at the moment. we will clean it tomorrow". In addition the air conditioning filters were in very bad condition, and I assume they can be harmful for guests' health!!! The hotel at some point was also out of shower gel. Rooms are not as luminous as shown in the pictures. overall considering that we spent 10k for 6 nights (for 2 rooms) the value for money was also very bad. Therefore i do not suggest this strcuture to anybody!"
