“Very comfortable, good position, clean and wonderful breakfast.”

“Expected more from an Ascend property than new furniture and trim surfaces in the bathroom. This is an older motel with new amenities. TV didn’t work. Window wasn’t locked and took effort to lock (single story hotel). The only friendly person on.the staff was the lady prepping breakfast. It was a decent location to get downtown.”

“Parking was easy which is a plus especially in a city like portsmouth. The town is extremely walkable so we didn't have to use the car again until we left. The staff was friendly and attentive. They asked what kind of coffee we wanted and even cleaned our room which included changing the towels. If we come back to portsmouth, I would definitely stay her again”

“General comfort ok. Wide and clean room. There s a bar where you can grab a drink or have dinner until 10 pm. It is not centrally located, but for me, that need to move by car, it was perfect ”

“Very nice place and convenient to everything in town. Not used to staying anywhere where there is basically no staff around but it wasn’t much of a problem after all. No parking was also a bit of an issue but we figured out the nearby town lot that was free and allowed 72 hour stay. We are seniors and would have paid for valet service but as I stated earlier no staff around from what i could tell. We did enjoy the room and the heated bathroom floors were nice. “This is a lovely place. The rooms were clean and the decor was thoughtfully chosen — not overbearing or kitschy. The kitchenette had all the necessary dishes, utensils and pots. The small grounds were nice and conducive to ready. The location was great. Very close to downtown Portsmouth and the price was reasonable, especially when compared with those just a couple of miles away in Portsmouth.”
