“No acepten upgrades ni elijan la habitación 4 del interior del castillo,tampoco les recomendaría que se alojarán ,ya que mi experiencia en el no resultó positiva,luego me contestarán con algúna respuesta tipo,pero les aseguro que hay muchos castillos en Inglaterra mejores que este.”

“Great hotel. The location is fantastic, the staff go above and beyond. A favourite spot for a getaway with opportunity to walk, visit High Force waterfall, have a drink in the cosy bar and dine in the elegant dining room. Breakfast was great - the food is obviously local and fresh.”

“No evening meal due to chef needing time off, staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. Only food available in the area was pizza at a hostel across the road. Breakfast room opened at 8:30 and consisted of help yourself Coco pops, croissants or toast, if you had an early start, nothing. Overall a very poor experience.”

It's not conventional - just a few rooms but a well-stocked help-yourself breakfast room, and it worked well for one night and the owner, Julia, was lovely and helpful. The room was relatively small - but well appointed and tea/coffee options and bathroom toiletries were all good. It was really warm in the room which was even before the heatwave, and the blackout curtains really needed to be closed for privacy as there is no blind/net curtain which did stop...
