“Best way to describe this cozy little place. We've stayed before & will book, again, next time we travel to Clayton. In fact, we won't travel to Clayton unless we can stay here. It's completely charming, close to the Boat Museum, an easy walk to the central shopping/eating area, and a long stone's throw to The River. Communication with the landlady is easy & thorough. Parking is a breeze. All photos posted are accurate & true. It's a charmer!”

The wineries were very good, and the fishing off of the dock was great, we caught perch, catfish, large and small mouth bass. Location was perfect right between downtown Clayton and Alex bay. “If you like a cabin with some quirky character, this one will suit you just fine! It feels like an old cabin that has been expanded a few times - a plywood floored entrance way that was added on holds outdoor activity equipment, a washer and dryer and the trash cans. It’s a good area for dusting off before entering the main cabin. The cabin has a nice sized kitchen with a table that will seat six, adequate prep area, and reasonably stocked. “Wow! This place really exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a quiet spot right on the water, this place is perfect. The host provided everything we could possibly need, and the comfortable beds were so perfect. My kids loved all of the outdoor space, and we all enjoyed the deck, the two level dock, the screened porch, and the fire pit area - so many spots to relax and enjoy! This place is an absolute gem.”

“Everything about the house was amazing! We don’t own a boat so the owners provided us with a few local options, we chose Wagoner’s Marina. It was was easy to get to and the process there was smooth. Parked our car, loaded the boat and headed out to the island. The ride was about 5 minutes and easy to navigate. On arrival the owner greeted us and took our luggage right back to the house for us. The location of the house to the boat ramp, bars and restaurants was perfect and the ability to dock the boats at the house was really convenient. “This is our second year visiting the same house. It feels like a home away from home. The owners make it so easy for check in. Both times it was ready early. The view is so beautiful of the river. Town is within walking distance. We love it and we will be back again next year. We have gone in September and October but Boldt castle is closed after Columbus Day. Loved it bith times tbough.”

“We had the luxury of being the 1st people into the house following the kitchen and bathroom renovations. They did an excellent work on the renovations. We enjoyed watching the ships pass-by read books by the fire and cook in the new kitchen. Kids enjoyed playing on the hill and the beach, even with the River temp near freezing.”

“Stunning property & marina on the St Lawrence Seaway. Clean & efficient units on large & spacious grounds. Spectacular views & scenery abound. The owners were easily accessible & friendly. Our unit was as advertised, with Dish Network TV, gas fireplace, all new exterior & interior. Spacious bathroom, fabulous shower, plentiful towels & washcloths. Kitchen was well appointed, outside grill & firepit with plenty of firewood & kindling. Beautifully decorated grounds added to the total experience....

“I was looking for a place to take my 85 year old mother and 80 year old aunt to see a total eclipse. This place was perfect. Everything was accessible, no tub wall to step over, no stairs inside or out. Bench outside to sit and watch the water and sky. Relatively flat road to walk for some exercise. Charlotte is a fabulous host--informative, friendly, and attentive to details. The place was clean and quiet, completely living up to expectations. The island is a delight--the park offers lovely...
