“Beautiful, charming and quiet place with nice, equipped garden, very well situated between the beach and Stony Brook University. We appreciated the setting, comfort and decoration in the home. It was overall very clean, but the kitchen hood was a bit sticky. Suggestions for small upgrades: more serving tools in the kitchen: serving dishes, salad bowl, serving spoons and a strainer/colliander. would be good to have a strainer grid in the bathroom sink”

“As long as you are physically able to manage the steps (that the owner includes in the listing) this is an absolutely wonderful couple retreat place. The hosts were very friendly [including their 2 dogs :-)] and helpful, the view across the lake is gorgeous, everything was clean and neat and included all that we needed (or asked for in one case), was great to have the kayaks available to go out on the lake. “The house is in a great location and has beautiful lake views! We had a great time staying here with our friends for a long weekend. Close to many state parks with beautiful hikes, no shortage of waterfalls and wineries. The property has private well water so took a little creative showering with our group of 7 and the hot water wasnt working the first night but it was an easy fix and the hosts were quick to respond. ”
