great spot
This ranger house is in a beautiful location and with 2.5 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms plus extra space, it is perfect for a family or group. Everything was very clean. The location in the park/woods is lovely. Our only issues were that there was no dish soap or dishwasher soap left for us.

Disc golf weekend
This is an annual event for us now. Everyone enjoys the disc golf course and the trails. We have also lucked out with beautiful weather the past two years and have spent hours around the fire, playing croquet and tossing footballs with the kids.

Wedding housing
We needed a place for several family members to stay while attending our daughter’s wedding in the area. The place was perfect for what we needed. It was as described and very easy to access and well equipped.

Sandy Knoll Wedding Use
We used the house to assist with storage and a place to get dressed for a wedding held at The Barn at Sandy Knoll. The groomsmen were able to get ready at the house while the ladies were getting ready at the barn. It was very helpful to have the space. I highly recommend it.

Sandy Knoll Ranger Home
A wonderful and quiet place to relax and unwind. The home is clean and spacious, with a large outdoor wooded yard. Convenient to West Bend and all the amenities of the county park. Our pup also loved being close to the dog park where she met many new friends.

Good location
It was so nice to be able to stay just one minute away from the barn that we had our daughter’s wedding in. Very roomy for the groomsmen to spread out and get ready for the day. Beds for 7 but could have fit seven more on air mattresses if needed. Nothing fancy at all just convenient and big! Very friendly staff too😀

Plenty of space
We had a great time visiting family over the fourth. This is a great option with a playground and dog park within walking distance. We went to the dog park daily. The grounds of the house had plenty of shade and a picnic table. The trees are perfect distance for putting up a hammock or two! We didn’t use the fire pit, but it looked very nice. Plenty of dishes in the large kitchen as well as a dining table. Only negatives were very minimal, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, which was a quick fix and there were no kids channels on the tv. Other than those very small items, everything else was perfect! We had a great time.

Perfect Weekend

Perfect for any size group!
My wedding party and I stayed here the night before my wedding, and they stayed the night after as well. The place is huge, clean, and easy to access. Perfect for any size family or group and will definitely be staying again!

Always a good time at the Ranger House
Our 2nd stay. First one was in winter. Early summer was wonderful! Great home for an extended family visit with lots of elbow room. Glad there were patio chairs. Enjoyed evenings on the deck, the fire pit and disc golf. Loads of towels and dishes of all types. The toilets and the kitchen sink were not clean at check in, but there were cleaning supplies on hand for me to take care of that. Check out list was reasonable: sweep, wipe surfaces, run dishwasher and take out trash.

Ranger House West Bend Wi
Very relaxing stay Sam the property manager was excellent and helpful. Television was extremely difficult to operate as well as WIFI. Needs curtains and blinds on sliding door for privacy. Beyond this very well maintained grounds and so convenient to West Bend. I added a night and having a problem trying to pay for last night. We plan on returning if these issues can be resolved.

Had everything we needed
Although the interior could use some serious updating, we wanted for nothing because everything that we could have wanted or needed was there, minus a few more dish towels. Clean, orderly. Nice to have multiple bathrooms. Nearby dog park was always very busy.

Disc golfing Thanksgiving
Great time staying at the Sandy Knoll Ranger house over Thanksgiving. Communication during booking and prior to arrival was excellent. It was super fun to be able to walk out the door to such a beautiful park and disc golf course. We would definitely consider staying again in the future.

All that we require!
We rented the Ranger Cabin for the third year. All is us are into disk golfing and the Anfänger course begins literally a few yards from the house. Beautiful surroundings and should anyone need anything at all, town is 10 minutes away although you are unaware of that during your stay. The house is the most luxurious "cabin" ever, with every amenity and all that anyone could require! Lots of fun, lots of disk golf and many campfires.

Incredible setting
This park is beautiful! Interesting variety of trails, gorgeous dog park, lovely pond and barn, disc golf, birds galore… stunning. We visited when autumn leaves were at their peak and it was delightful. The house was clean, retro, quiet, solid, secure, well-equipped. Would stay again and would recommend to others. We brought drinking water and were glad we did as the house water has a strong iron-like odor. Great communication with property manager. Check-in and out was simple.

Had a good time, good location, house supplied well with Everything we needed. 2 negative issues—- garage remote did not work and no instructions on TV navigation , took me a good part of 2 days to figure it out and never really did completely. Remote control instructions in cabinet did not match up with actual remote so I had to wing it.

Great times
We had a great time. The cabin was as it said it was. A few Major things that need to be addressed are; there needs to be a hand rail from the garage into the cabin. Nothing to hang on to for safety and support. Also, there needs to be safety bars and non-slip mats or strips in both bathroom tubs.

The house was nice with lots of space my biggest gripe, really my only issue is that if I have to pay for cleaning service I should not be asked to take the garbage out.

Great place to land!
We were visiting family nearby and needed a place to land in the evenings. Though we felt we didn’t thoroughly enjoy what the location had to offer, it was a great place to begin and end our days. Very clean. Lovely setting in the woods. We will very likely return our next visit up!

Perfect
We loved our stay!! The house was huge and so clean, perfect for us. The beds were comfortable & literally everything you could need was stocked. The setting of the house was absolutely beautiful and private. The pictures do not do this one justice, it’s even better in person.

Wedding at the barn.
We stayed at the ranger house since we rented the barn at sandy knoll for our wedding. The ranger house is great and a must if you are planning to rent the barn at sandy knoll for any events!

Great West Bend Getaway
Three bed cabin, clean and comfortable. Well appointed kitchen, 2 full and 1 half bath. Nice park location. Grocery store is just 5 minutes away. Dog park on site.

Ranger house very nice stay
Place is so close to everything. Does have a lot of mosquitos but it's in the woods. Had a great stay had our two grandchildren two sons and the wife had a great time good place with kids swimming biking discount golf walking fishing grilling. Does need updating and basement is musty but didn't need basement so good for our stay

A nice county park escape.
The property was as clean as can be expected for a park ranger house. It was a very large house and had a lot of room for many guests. It is in a great location and is easy to check in and out. It would be a great place for a disc golf getaway.

Pleasant location in a park and close to many things in the area.
Fourth stay at the Ranger House, many new updates. New beds, new couch! A gas grill along with the charcoal grill. The gas grill should be mentioned in the listing as it's a bonus! Found the kitchen very clean with all the things that anyone would need for cooking. Very nice large yard and the firepit is fun. Plenty of walking areas and the new Lizard Mound State Park is nearby. Nice shops in West Bend and Port Washington..

Beautiful setting
Sandy Knoll Park was a beautiful setting for this home. The house had everything we needed. We were so happy to see that one of the bedrooms was away from the other two so our friends didn't have to hear the baby during the night. The house was clean and well maintained. The games and puzzles were great too!

Adult, child and pet friendly getaway
We stayed for two nights with our son, daugher-in-law, 2 grandchildren and their dog. The Ranger Cabin was clean, comfortable, and well designed. Kitchen has a very long counter, where we laid out all our food, full size refrigerator, stove, well stocked cabinets with every pot, pan, utensil we could ask for. One side of the kitchen/dining room has a single bedroom with attached bathroom, other side has two bedrooms and a full bath. There is a large den/playroom in the basement and another full bath. Perfect for mulitple generations. This cabin in very dog friendly, and supplied water and food bowls, dog toys, dog bed and couch cover. The park has walking trails, playground, pond frisbee golf and enclosed dog area.

Clean and Simple
The house was very clean which we very much appreciated. It could use some updating but its overall in good condition. We would have liked it more if the fireplace was operational. It worked out well for our family.

Wonderful residence with HUGE county park!
This was truly a gem. Sure, the pictures capture the 80s range house, but it was comfy and did not stink like a musty cabin. Our family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend while skiing at Sunburst and zooing at Shalom. We did not venture around town, but there was plenty to do between those 2 venues and the gorgeous Sandy Knoll park! Hosts were great communicators and had everything covered. It was nice to have the little things too! TP, soap, dish rags, towels, etc. It was fantastic!
