“Kind of smelled like a basement…don’t know if it’s because of the age of the property or the a/c. Bathroom was clean, but they could pay more attention to some of the details when cleaning. Ex. Ledge on sink and corners look like they hadn’t been cleaned recently and some mold on the grout in the shower. It was a little pricey for what we got,”

“Couple stains on one of the bed sheets, beds were sufficient enough to get a couple hours of sleep in. Remote to the tv was working, the toilet leaked from the back covering half the floor, you could tell at least one of the corners of the room hadn’t been swept in a day or two. Make sure ya bring your own soaps if you don’t want to use the bar soap.
We didn’t have use of the amenities but I noticed the pool was closed.
All that said, the AC was amazingly cold when we got in the room which...

“The property is old and run down and the area was a bit sketchy. The bedding was very old and the sheets were dingy. We stayed at the same brand of hotel the next night in another town and it was 10 times better and was the same price.”

“The room was very clean and staff was very nice. Air conditioning was super crisp and cold for a hot day. Very convenient location, close to the SIU campus. I was super excited to find this jewel so close to campus. Note: there are no elevators, anyone using a wheelchair or cane should book handicap rooms on the lower floor for ease of access.”
