Cottage a Wester Ross

“This is the perfect cottage to explore Skye. Ideal for a family of four. We slept well, the shower is good and every thought has gone into this self catering accommodation (not one but two hairdryers, sharp kitchen knives, dishwasher tablets, treats!). We arrived with everything we needed food and drink wise (I recommend you do as well as it's a drive to the shops) but also ate locally at the inn which was fine and lively. There's an excellent playpark across the road and a pottery. ”

“The Hen House was lovely! It really was pretty, comfortable and finished to an incredibly high standard. The estate is beautiful and we happened to stay during a midsummer fair, which was fantastic. The hot tub was in dire need of a deep chemical clean. The tubes connected to the fire were leaking bits of dirt. Also the check out time being 10am is quite early when it is self catering and you’ll also need to pack a car. Overall I would highly reccomend a stay here. ”

Even though it's in an area with other homes, it doesn't have any homes close and the views are uninterrupted. “Welcomed by Keith who talked us through everything in relation to breakfast, our room etc. Everything was perfect. Hubby was happy as coffee machine in our room! Spacious, large en-suite with good shower. Loved the ‘hair straightener’ slate on the dressing table to ensure no burn marks left - I used that. Huge choice for breakfast. Lovely room to eat it in. The property is in a great position. Would definitely recommend & return. ”

“Spacious, well equipped and good value for money. It rains sometimes - it's Scotland - but the surroundings are glorious. We explored Loch Ness with castle Urquhart, saw dolphins at Chanonry Point, got close with hairy coos, went for a walk in Glen Affric and even visited Eilean Donan and completed the Bealach na Bà.
