“It was pouring with rain when we arrived, so we really appreciated having the carport and entry cover, so we didn’t get soaked hauling our luggage in. Great for a 1nt stay on our way from Wellington to the Coromandel. Because of the weather the Coromandel didn’t happen, but that’s a whole other story! ”

“We love visiting these spa pools every time we visit Taupo. So staying at the resort was an easy choice. Easy check in and out, quick walk to the pools and back. Room is clean, wifi's good. Enough space to park directly outside of the room. We've also stayed at the Hilton next door which has a fab pool. This is a great alternative if you want to save a it of cash. ”

“We had a fabulous three nights at Clearwater. We loved being right beside the lake and had a beautiful panoramic view from our unit. The setting was very restful - just what we needed. The Clearwater staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and in-room spa were great. (Fantastic pressure in the shower!) The motor lodge is only a quick drive (or a nice walk) into town for coffee, shopping, activities and takeaway meals, and we also went down to Rainbow Point...

“The room was very clean and had nice amenities, and the staff were friendly. The shower had fantastic water pressure, but it paled in comparison to the geothermal tub in the next room! The private geothermal pool (which also had a geothermal shower) was a perfect, romantic way to unwind after a long drive from Auckland. The fact that the room rate also includes access to the larger public pools is also a big plus (although we were too busy to visit those).”
