Hildawell is a magnificent five-bedroom Victorian villa, peacefully positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac yet only a short stroll from the heart of Whitby. Built around the turn of the century, this spacious semi-detached home is filled with period character, including high ceilings, decorative plasterwork, beautiful joinery and original fireplaces, making it an excellent choice for a memorable family gathering or group getaway.

Stone steps lead up to the elevated entrance, and residents’ parking is available for one vehicle. Inside, the impressive entrance hall welcomes you with colourful stained glass, period floor tiles and a handsome oak-balustrade staircase.

The traditional ground-floor layout provides plenty of space for everyone to relax. The elegant main lounge features a large bay window, an ornate chandelier, comfortable seating and a warming gas stove. A second lounge offers another inviting place to unwind beside the fireplace. Step down into the smaller rear sitting room, which doubles as a games room and has a selection of board games for evenings together.

Nearby Pannett Park is home to Whitby Museum, a café, attractive gardens and a children’s play area.

Explore the bustling harbour, sandy beach and winding cobbled streets, browse independent shops and famous jet jewellery stores, or climb the 199 Steps to St Mary’s Church and the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey.
