Situated just off the quaint cobbled Church Street, which has an abundance of independent shops and cafés, at the foot of the 199 steps leading you up to the iconic Abbey. Stepping inside no expense has been spared in renovating the cottage to an exceptionally high standard. You enter into the open plan kitchen with a dining area and lounge. There are sweeping granite work tops, which lead you through into the living and dining area. The beamed ceilings are a reminder of this cottage’s history. Comfortable sofas invite you to unwind beside the electric fire. Up on the first floor you have a beautifully presented kingsize bedroom, with a dressing table and TV. The shower room is beautiful and modern. Conveniently there is a utility room with a washing machine, ideal for longer stays. Outside you have your own patio to take in the sunshine, you have an elevated view from here over the rooftops. This area has so much heritage, it’s almost like stepping back in time. Whitby has a host of attractions attracting guests from around the world. This town was inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and there is a dark side of Whitby with ghost walks to both fright and delight. The wonderful Goth Festival takes place twice a year, and keep an eye out for other festivals, such as the Folk Festival, Whitby Regatta and the Steam Punk Weekend. With many award-winning restaurants, olde worlde pubs and tea rooms, a colourful harbour and a glorious long golden beach, this is a great place for all interests and ages.
