Whitefish Mountain resort is well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions, on average 300 inches a year! (Other winter sports include cross country skiing, riding snow mobiles, ice fishing, ice skating, heli skiing & snow shoe tours. Don’t forget to grab a few sleds for family sledding and the annual snow ball fight! )

*When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, Scenic Lift Rides, Summit Nature Center in addition to spectacular hiking, golfing, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting and Glacier National Park, it is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley. This is your four season destination place!

*Downtown Whitefish and Whitefish Lake are only a 10 minute drive down the mountain to enjoy fabulous shopping, dining, and special summer events.
And outside the Whitefish Mountain resort there are many things to do in Whitefish! Day after day of sunshine and warm temps with low humidity make it an ideal summer playground. In addition to Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and Whitefish Lake; Day Spa, Rafting & Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Boating, Horseback Riding, Wagon Ride Dinners, Climbing & Hiking, Rock Climb Montana, Whitefish City Beach, The Wave Athletic Club (featuring a full gym, 3 pools and waterslide), Big Sky Waterpark, Amazing Fun Center, Glacier Raft Company, Whitefish Theatre Company, Lost Prairie Skydiving Company, Glacier Adventure Guides, and Swan Mountain Outfitters to name a few.
And don’t forget to save time to head up to Glacier National Park . Take the Road to Sun in Glacier Park up to Logan’s Pass where you can take a leisurely hike to one of the most gorgeous views in North America

And there is your House...
The Mountain House is 1500 square feet of living space packed with all the comforts of home. Relax in the cozy living room with its sectional, wood stove, and a large flat-screen TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you need! Share a meal with your group at the large dining table, it seats 10.
There are 3 bedrooms in the house. Bedroom #1 or the Master Bedroom has a modern upholstered king bed featuring inspired wood paneling behind it, a sitting area, and a full bath. Bedroom #2 has a Queen Size bed. Bedroom #3, the bunk room has amazing space with 2 bunk beds, both twin over full beds. All in all, these beds can sleep 6 people in the bunk room. The cozy living room with a wood fireplace and lounge area with large flatscreen TV. One large sectional, a sofa, and a chair in the living room make the perfect place for hanging out and relaxing after a day on the slopes or a day hiking in Glacier! The home has a large southwest-facing deck with a BBQ Grille, and an outdoor table that are perfect for entertaining.

The driveway hosts parking for 2-3 vehicles.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. It was nice waking up and having a cup of coffee on the deck while watching deer. That was just the start of a wonderful vacation, along with it a warm and cozy home to stay in. The home has everything needed to make a family meal. The setting made it a place to want to come back to every night with the tall pines. The look and smell was beautiful. The beds were all very comfortable. The internet worked. Everything was wonderful! I plan on coming back to stay at some point.

Perfect Family Vacation

This home, beautifully nestled in the forest was the perfect choice for our family stay in Whitefish. The bedrooms accommodated the nine of us well, the spacious living room and deck, and perfectly appointed kitchen made it feel like coming home after our excursions in the area. Wonderful Family and Friends Getaway

Our second consecutive New Year’s at Ptarmigan Village but first year at this property and it exceeded all expectations. The location, nestled conveniently near the ski hill, coupled with family-friendly amenities like the indoor pool and playground, makes it an ideal place to stay for families. The house itself was a gem, with each aspect catering to our family’s needs. The bunk bed room elicited excitement for our kids, and the private hot tub added a touch of luxury to our stay. The kitchen was not only well-stocked but also thoughtfully equipped with an abundance of dishes, making meal preparations a breeze. The bathrooms had all the necessary amenities including and abundance of towels which was very convenient, and the beds provided a great night sleep after long days on the ski hill. What truly set this property apart was the surplus of extras it offered that I have not experienced in previous rentals, from games, books, dvds, first aid kits, life jackets for the kids, and soooo much more. This property felt like a home away from home, surpassing our expectations with its attention to detail and thoughtful provisions. Communication with the owners was easy and seamless and they were very attentive to messages but also have everything laid out at the house with all the info you need to be aware of and how to’s. Our stay was enriched by the sense of comfort and convenience it provided, we are excited to return in the future and would recommend to all families!

Great Vacation Home

We came to Whitefish as a family to celebrate Christmas. The home had plenty of space and the kitchen was well stocked. It's only a few minutes from the ski resort and the pool was great to help entertain the kids. Downtown is only 10 mins away. Fantastic place and would definitely rent again when the need arises.

Just what we wanted.

We used this property to spend time in Whitefish and multiple trips to Glacier. This property is exactly as described. It fit our group well and enjoyed not only the property but the beach access as well. The property is well stocked, clean, and the owner is very responsive. Definitely had a great time as we came across the country to enjoy this area. Thank you!!
