  • Benvenuti al bellissimo lago Whitestone, questo cottage è disponibile tutte le quattro stagioni! Divertiti in barca al gelato, nelle vicine colazioni, in canoa, in kayak, pesca, golf, sci, motoslitta, escursioni, vela, sci d'acqua, wakeboard e molto altro! Amerai il cottage, così tranquillo e sereno con la splendida luce del sole, gli alberi, il lago, il molo, il lungomare, il camino e soprattutto l'aria fresca. È perfetto per le fughe di coppie, avventurieri solitari, famiglie (con bambini) e amici pelosi.

    Questa è una grande casa per rilassarsi. In estate, vi è un bacino così come una spiaggia, una barca a remi e una canoa per il vostro uso. Il barbecue è eccellente per cucinare qualche cena o spuntini, e il patio può ospitare tutti per un buon pasto all'aperto. In autunno si può godere di alcuni grandi escursioni e passeggiate nella zona come le foglie cambiano colore. maglioni accoglienti e coperte caminetto in soggiorno è fantastico, e un caffè caldo piacevole al mattino dal molo rende perfetto per iniziare la giornata! Il casale è stato completamente ristrutturato nel 2011, è forte e sicuro per tutti i tipi di tempo. In inverno si può godere la neve tutto intorno a voi, fare un po 'racchette da neve o sci di fondo. Un ottimo posto per motoslitta e pesca nel ghiaccio, come pure!

    Gli ospiti hanno accesso a tutta la casa, che comprende 3 camere da letto e 1 bagno. La grande sala e cucina, e la coperta sono tutti per il vostro uso. Il molo e il lungomare sono disponibili per voi, e c'è molto spazio per le macchine o un roulotte / tenda.
    Whitestone Lake è un lago fantastico da godere. E 'abbastanza grande da ospitare sciatori d'acqua e tuberi, e ancora abbastanza tranquilla per il kayak e paddleboarders. Il quartiere è tranquillo, le altre persone cottaging e alcuni abitanti del luogo. Nelle vicinanze si può arrivare a Dunchurch per alcune grandi piccola colazione e cena punti, così come il gelato e negozi di varietà locali. McKellar ha gelato così, e una caffetteria e un negozio di fattoria con carni fresche. Parry Sound è la soluzione migliore per chi desidera approfittare dei principali servizi come WalMart, Sobeys, Home Depot, Pet Value e Starbucks, a circa 20 minuti di distanza.

Everything was as advertised. Hosts are transparent about the work that still needs to be done to improve the cottage but it had everything we needed - including toys for our young child and our dog.

Lovely winter cottage!

We recently stayed here and it was a truly wonderful experience. The cottage was cozy, clean and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. The surrounding winter landscape was breathtakingly beautiful and offered endless opportunities for outdoor activities. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our needs, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Comfy cottage for a getaway

We chose Erica's property for several reasons; a main one is that it allowed us to bring our two cats to stay with us, for which we're very grateful! The setting is even nicer than you can tell from the pictures: the driveway is off a quiet country road, and the property has trees and some wetland on each side, separating it from the neighbors. The furniture is comfortable and in good condition. The woodstove helped the living room feel extra cozy when it was cold and rainy out, and the grill worked well. We would have loved to use the very nice looking firepit and sit in the comfy Adirondack chairs on the dock, but the rain lasted all week. Not the owners' fault! The kitchen is very well supplied. Although the cottage has no wifi, we were able to get all of the data we needed to email, read the paper, and play games on our phones. We were concerned when we learned that the cottage has no drinking water, but it wasn't a problem at all. The water is fine for cooking, showers, washing, etc. For drinking, we used a 10-liter jug (purchased locally -- easy to get) with the cottage-supplied pump on top--just like getting water from the fridge at home. The nearest town has a small general store and a hiking trail in the woods. The nearest big town, with supermarkets and restaurants, is a half hour away. There's a trail along the sound, and Algonquin Park is about an hour away. Erica was very responsive and helpful in all communication. We would stay there again.

View is nice but Cottage was ok..

The cottage does need quite a bit to fix up. The main hand railing is broken and is not safe to use, The lower half of the screen door is bent so it does not close all the way leaving a gap of at least an inch. So we couldn't use it due to the bugs. We did find quite a bit of mouse droppings around the inside of the cottage. The inside of the stove was dirty and we did not want to use it in case of a fire. Some of the cook ware is really worn and had loose handles. We had difficulties getting the BBQ going due to a problem with the regulator. Also the lower section of the BBQ under the burners was completely rotted which could of led to a grease fire. There is little privacy from the neighbors on both sides. The property manager also decided to cut the grass while we were on the back patio. I would expect this be completed in between rentals.

Cozy Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We don’t normally rent a cottage during the off-season, but this cottage was a wonderful change of pace for us! It was so nice to have a wood burning fire to cozy up near with a good book, and Erica truly thought of everything by supplying firewood, kindling, and lighters. It was really nice to stay somewhere where there is obvious pride of ownership and concern for guest experience. Overall, we highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing stay!

Beautiful cottage on very busy lake

The cottage was older but fixed up, very clean and nicely furnished. Lots of useful things available to us. No internet or Tb but we didn’t care about that. The lake, however, is super loaded with cottages. We found a portion of it that is still natural and took our boat there twice. Very nice the first time but plagued with jet skis and pontoon boats the second time. Neighbours had a bunch of screaming kids up for the long weekend. Water level was very low and swimming was not great. Nonetheless the property is large (2 acres) and well maintained. Good spot for our doggie to play frisbee, and the fire pit is lovely. I found the ad a little misleading with regard to the lakefront. It’s really very small and crowded in between other properties. But there is a dock that is in pretty good shape where we could tie up our boat. Only about 1 ft of water depth at the end of the dock though. Overall it is a nice place but not the best place for us.

Imperfectly perfect get away

This property was exactly what the owner said it was. If you forgot anything they had it, location was great, pretty clean and it was very easy to get a hold of home owner if you had any questions. Definitely will be going back. Great if you have kids and a dog.

Amazing getaway location!

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic! The property was extremely clean and very beautifully decorated. Everything that we needed was supplied and easy to find. There is a very helpful book with all the details that you need when you check in. We will definitely return as soon as we can!

Family Getaway

Our family spent four nights here, and we can't wait to return! This cottage has it all: space, scenery, amenities and coziness. Standing on the back deck, you're a stones throw away from the picturesque Whitestone Lake where you can canoe and kayak, or just simply sit on the dock and enjoy the wilderness. You're surrounded by trees and have lots of privacy in the backyard, which is equipped with a good-sized fire pit. If it's raining, you have a gazebo on the back deck so you won't be trapped indoors. The kitchen inside the cottage has cookware, utensils, cutlery, a table and chair. Sofas and a coffee table are yours to use in the living room. There is a TV, dozens and dozens of DVDs, but no cable or Wifi. The owners have done a wonderful job making this place feel like home. You'll love it here!

Beautiful and serene getaway

The cottage was clean and well stocked and we thoroughly enjoyed our few days there. It was perfect for our low mobility crew (a senior, a toddler, and a 7 months pregnant )! Highlights included Bbqing and canoeing. Hope to return one day, maybe in the winter?

A Perfect Getaway Spot!

During our stay here we had an amazing time! The cabin itself was worth every penny! We had an amazing view every morning which was the perfect start to the day! Although the water was only waist deep at the dock, you could easily explore the lake with the kayaks if you wanted. The beds were fantastic to sleep in, great size, and we had plenty to chose from. We were worried about not having AC, but the fans and, the large ceilings kept us really cool! The neighbours were very friendly as well and the towns nearby had most of what you would need as well. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for having us!

A perfect retreat

This was my first time ever using the website canadastays. I'm an avid Airbnb user. This website is actually pretty good, and trustworthy. The property is beautiful, the cabin is gorgeous. It is very well equipped. It felt really nice and cozy. The living room/dining area is definitely the best part. It's a very spacious cottage. We will definitely try to come back for the other seasons. We only have good things to say about the cabin and Erica. Communication was great, Erica has all the answers. Thanks for having us!

Cozy hug with a view!

We loved our September long weekend at this cottage. The location is beautiful- both the lake and the rolling hills of the road coming to the cottage. We loved exploring the lake on the kayaks (though it would have been easier had we put our dog in either the canoe or paddle boat instead) and opening the windows and sliding door to living room while listening to the rain and thunder at night. The lot is very cozy. It felt like we were wrapped in a hug with a view! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need even for larger groups. Master bed was comfy. Why not give 5 stars? There is an old camper outside two of the bedroom windows that can be rented for extra sleeping room-just wasn’t our taste but I can see it being attractive to people looking for more space. Overall it was very clean but the ceiling fans and under the couch (where our dog kept losing her ball) could use some attention and there was a faint smell of cat in one bedroom. Overall it was great and we would return again! We also did the Whitestone Lake Hike as shown on the road sign in Dunchurch. Glad we did it but it was definitely a hike, not an easy walking trail. Also, there are loads of games and movies to choose from!!
