Non c'è modo migliore per vivere le Smoky Mountains se non soggiornando in questa accogliente cabina nascosta nel bosco! Circondato da alberi, gli ospiti potranno godere della privacy e della vista sulle montagne stellari. Resta intrattenuto all'interno con la TV a schermo piatto e il tavolo da biliardo o dirigiti fuori sul ponte che ha un tavolo da picnic, grill propano e una vasca idromassaggio. C'è anche una piccola area salotto all'aperto coperta. Prendi l'aria della sera intorno al pozzo del fuoco all'aperto.

Great location but they could do a better job with the cleaning spider webs and the first floor smells like humidity there is some floor water damage from the AC on the 2nd floor they need to fix that, nice house hope they fixed

Toilet issue in the bottom washroom, not the owners fault, the booking company was slow to respond and resolve the issue. That was the main problem. The pool table was well past it's prime and only enough silverware for about 5/6 people. Otherwise was clean, roomy, great location, and nice ice cold AC.

Weekend in Whittier

The outside of the house was full with dirt and leaves. There was no privacy on the main floor because there were no curtains. The bed made a lot of noise when you turn around. The pool table was all dirty and broken. The two sticks didn't have a point. In addition, Vrbo was renting this property from another vendor. Then I realized why it was so expensive and worthless.

The worst nightmare DONT WASTE MONEY/TIME

People never tried to rent to. Stay at the bass house ... they lie about everything online and they give you something totally opposite, we spend 3 nights without water and management just said they going to reach us with a solution and they never showed or called... house so poop stinks carpet stains, spider webs at every corner and for winter time they don't have properly A/C working and is just freezing out there beds have just tiny blankets and they don't care about anything we call and message them to know about the issues and they just said be patient and apologize... and NEVER do anything... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THE BASS HOUSE

Nice but had some minor problems

The cabin over all was very clean, the pool table was rough and not level so my husband couldn’t use it for when we was there . I’m glad we always pack our own towels because each bathroom only had 2 towels and 2 wash rags , which I guess is fine but most cabins I’ve stayed at at least has a set of 4 each. The bottom bedrooms and bathroom was very cold and we had the heat wide open and it never heated the area(probably no installation) so I don’t suggest going when it going to be cold because you will freeze in the bottom part, idk how it would do being in the summer time or when it is hot but I would more than likely think it would never get cool down there either. The cabin is up a very steep hill which is fine they list that when renting it. The check out instructions were very straight forward however it said to start a load of either the towels or bed linen before leaving and I’m guessing the cleaners just put it in the dryer once they arrive … I’ve never had to do that. We’ve always been told to just throw all dirty linen in the showers so cleaners know, anyways…over all we were satisfied since we were just having a small weekend getaway and didn’t really spend much time in the cabin but the heating system could use fixing as well as a pool table upgrade considering the problems with it. This cabin would be good for just a weekend but maybe not a week stay.

Renter be aware

This an old house that needs updating and up to code. They camouflaged portions over existing walls. Live wires were not covered with blank receptacles m(downstairs in closet to the left) There were holes in many places. Especially downstairs bathroom. Caulking were not done correctly. One Recliner chair broken. From down stairs at night you can’t sleep for hearing the water going thru pipes or walls. Oven was filthy and refrigerator smelled like shrimp. Deck was overdue for pressure cleaning. Molds were growing on deck and chairs . Tree needs to be trimmed. Pool stick were gone. Didn’t bother to see if all pool balls were counted. Paddle stick were broken’. Trash food under beds. Sheer curtain didn’t give privacy. Water hose were laid out on side deck did not see it hook up. Trash bin outside overflow. Pot and pans were very old. Not much containers to use. Look like they cleaned their cupboards from their home and thrown in these cupboards. Carpet stained. Too many to list that should not be present. Would like my refund. Due to their mis presenting of this online. Pictures online were deceiving.

Disappointing

Place looks dirty, pool table is unusable dirty and the sticks are broke, couches have big stains all over, few lights around the house doesn’t work, 2nd floor a/c didn’t work, jacuzzi doesn’t heat the water, we found 3 really big spiders inside which means the place hasn’t been fumigated, internet went out the first night and i had to call the internet company to get it back on, they said the modem is too old and needs to be replaced, amenities where not enough at all, it was 6 of us and they only gave us one little shampoo and one little hand soap, utensils are not complete either, other tan that location is great, the cabin looks great too, very spacious, we contact customer service and they seem to not care at all i started a claim with my credit card for a full refund since i a have all this pictures and text messages with the staff to back me.

Amazing vacation at The Bass House

We really enjoyed staying at the Bass House. It was very roomy with the bedrooms spread out to allow for privacy. It was very clean and very comfortable. It was in a beautiful setting. We would definitely consider staying there again if in the area.

Me and my family loved staying here it was so homey feeling and a perfect view the only thing that sucked was the hot tub was out of commission which was a bummer but everything else was wonderful ! And very beautiful :)

Not so good experience

Checked in on Dec 23 upon arriving the house was dirty the downstairs bathroom under the sink has a bad odor there was cob webs and dust bunnies everywhere. There was hair stuck in the tub drain that we had to clean out because the tub water wouldn’t drain the jets didn’t work for the jacuzzi tub. Our water went out the first night and we had to go to lowes and buy the part and fix it ourself we still have not heard anything about a refund on any of our money. The pool table is broke and dirty. The jacuzzi on the porch is not in working condition. The porch and railing are so nasty and need to be pressure washed. There is a soft spot in the floor in front of the couch as well and it is being covered with a rug. We had to spend over a half a day on our second day with no power so my husband could fix the water pump so therefore my mom was without her oxygen at that time. I will not rent this place again. Too much hassle. I would really prefer to have a full refund considering all the inconveniences we had on our first two days there.

Weekend getaway

Hot tub didn't work and was one of the main reasons for booking this cabin. But overall a very cute place.

Good Location on NC side of the Smokey's

Sleeps alot of people for the price. Everything was clean. Trash was piled up out front when we arrived. After a call to vacasa it was gone the next day. Hot tub didn't work, Pool table is somewhat broken. Pool cues missing tips. Ping pong paddles were usable. Beds are mediocre.All appliances worked. One TV on top floor. Internet was 2.5 Mb down. Recommend: MoonShine train tour. White water rafting and if your hungry for country cooking Ms. Lois Restaurant.

TERRIBLE HOME

This house was absolutely unacceptable for guests to stay in. As a travel agent I was very disappointed. There is a certain standard that should be met. Listed below were the poor conditions of the Bass House: Hot tub was not usable. It was not cleaned and had yellow water in it . We called 10/7 Upon on arrival and they were suppose to come clean the hot tub and make usable but no one ever showed up or called to follow up. Dishes not clean in kitchen Light bulbs needed to be changed Carpet is stained / disgusting Roaches in shower Pool table dirty and wobbly Uncomfortable beds Outside was dirty and needs to be pressure washed Firepit area not maintained The house had a terrible odor Bathroom on first level clogged with feces Upon checking out a day early I emailed them and I have yet to get a response from the local manger . Customer service is also unacceptable!

Bass House

The house was dirty, both inside and out and not well maintained, although the bedding and furniture was clean. The downstairs toilet was slow flushing the evening we got there and completely stopped up by the next morning. We arrived on Sunday evening and even though someone came out on Monday, the toilet did not get fixed until Thursday morning and we left Friday morning. There was plenty of room for our group of 7.

Great Location/Good Value!!

The location was great! We rafted at the Nantahala, minutes away from Bryson City & Cherokee, and a little bit of drive to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. The cabin itself was roomy enough for our family of eight. The kids played ping pong & pool, they also loved the hot tub! The beds slept great, the water pressure in the showers were wonderful. We could tell the cabin had been updated a little, we felt from the looks of it, it’s a work in progress. The driveway up to the cabin wasn’t as bad as I read in other comments. It was steep, but manageable. My only minor complaints are…we could have used more towels & linens, and maybe update the cookware. The stove, microwave, refrigerator, butcher block, were great! Maybe a few more utensils, serving utensils, and maybe a few more plates. The washer & dryer worked very well also! We enjoyed our stay & will definitely stay there again!! Thank you for having us!!

Will not stay at this home again!

Needs better house keepers that know how to clean , downstairs was full of flies and there was a smell like mildew. Carpets are filthy and one bedroom has dog poop , according to the list there’s no pets aloud. All floors need deep cleaning and the whole house needs to be dusted properly and have cog webs removed .

House fell short on all counts.

All amenities listed were deceitful and of no value. Pool table, spa and fire pit were in I’ll repair and should not be listed in the description. Deck and grill was dirty and covered in mould. Not exactly inviting. The utensils and pots and pans were an embarrassment. In summary, do not rent this property.
