“the room was spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. we liked having the little kitchenette and it was suitably set up for simple meal preparation. the location is out of town, so we found it peaceful, and it was handy to Mount Panorama which my husband liked. it is a large, somewhat rambling facility with some communal areas like lounges and kitchenettes, that might appeal if conditions meant you need to stay indoors. “Parking for overnight guests should have priority over drinkers and family dinners . Especially weekends . Second ...under the wall table had coffee stains splattered on the wall and the ice was nearly falling out of the freezer . Staff were ok....some unfriendly and unhelpful. One lady there delivered chips and coffee to our room 8. Thankyou very much. The price for the room was more than what it should be . ”

“The room WIFI wasn't working (important to international travelers). After 30 minutes of trying, went to the front desk, where they said it wasn't working. They did give us the staff login, but I thought this was something that could have been mentioned at check-in.”

“Had no breakfast,room was very small and noisy from doors slamming and road noise.picture of room made it look larger than it was in real life.cheap and cheerful is what id call it. Receptionist was pleasant and helpful. ”

“What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all. ”

“Great position ”

“We loved the pool. But unfortunately our cabin was very very basic. The tv was stuck on channel ten and reception couldn’t provide batteries so we could change channel. The bunk bed was in the toilet corridor. Not a great bed. Overall not the worst, just shabby and felt like it wasn’t quite worth $179 a night. ”

“Bit of a smell in the rooms. No real cleaning during room servicing - only towel replacement . ”

“Relied on public transport. Walkable from railway station. Close to fast food. Mcdonalds. Hungry jack. Red rooster. Kfc. Clean room.”

“We stayed in the 3 bedroom house and it was lovely. Plenty of spare towels, too, which is always a plus. The managers were extremely friendly and helpful, both via texts and in person. NB: Parking was quite tight.Also, the electric blanket is broken in the middle room. ”

“Easy parking and close to hotel and shops”

“The room was clean and spacious. Cooking facilities adequate and check-in was really easy. It wasn’t as modern as the photos looked but it wasn’t bad just a bit dated. The air-conditioner was needed for heating but only blue cool air. We just turned it off we had had packed warm clothes so it turned out to be no problem. Outdoor sitting area was lovely. Although not right in the centre of town, it suited our needs as we were able to cook our own meal at night without the need to go out.”

“Room and amenities are perfect plus Barista coffee”

“Whilst the accommodation was well priced, the room was filthy. Thick dust on all room surfaces and the shower was full of mould along with the shower curtain. On the plus side, the bed was clean and comfortable.”
