“Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“Room was immaculate and spacious. I was worried about parking but it wasn’t a problem as I was able to get a space outside the front, and the back if I wanted. If you need to check in later than 8/9pm it isn’t a problem; just give them a call and they’ll arrange it with you. Breakfast was decent too! The only negative (a very minor point) is that the shower head appeared to have brewer’s droop! Other than that it was fabulous. I would definitely stay again. ”

“Lovely caravan which was very clean and dog friendly. Well stocked including bowls for doggy. Communication from the owners was excellent. They even sent us a list of dog friendly walks some with dog friendly pubs. Lovely dog friendly pub Mason Arms just across the road from the camp where they let doggy sit under the table whilst owners had a meal. It was a small caravan site which was quiet and well laid out just what we needed.”
