The yurt was absolutely fabulous!! My sister and I drove 8 hours to VA, so it was wonderful to find the yurt as described. It was welcoming, cozy, clean, and stocked with essentials. It was great to go to VA Tech to visit my son and then to drive back to the yurt at night to enjoy the atmosphere. The outside string lights made it very welcoming and easy to find in the dark… very much appreciated!! And hiking to the creek in the morning after coffee/tea on the deck was a perfect way to start the day. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful setting surrounded by nature.

Our 2nd time staying at this oasis! Every detail as before was carefully thought of. We wanted for nothing. I’m always amazed at the water pressure in the shower for a yurt! We love this place and will definitely be back! Jessica is a great host!!!

So grateful for the opportunity to stay in this lovely and remote yurt during move-in of my daughter to Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!)We had everything we needed for a fabulous stay and enjoyed the nightlife in nearby Floyd! Highly recommend and I cannot wait to return!

Wonderful experience; perfect accommodations, well appointed kitchen & home. Great to have washer dryer combo. Only 2 suggestions- let folks know how far out from Floyd, Willis & Radford as well as the kitchen needs at least 2 steak knives. All around great vacation!

Beautiful

This was the first trip I have ever taken solo. I broight my 2 dogs with me. I couldnt have asked for a better host or spot to stay! It was so peaceful and Jessica put so much thought into it. She had 2 spots with 4 bowls for my dogs and cute little dog treats. I absolutley loved it and will be staying again, hopefully soon!

A Peaceful & Relaxing Getaway

Jessica was truly amazing! She has a wonderful PDF she sends ahead of your stay about the yurt along with places to eat and shop that are in Floyd. Our first full day, she sent us a list of the events happening in Floyd that would be happening during our stay. The yurt was amazing! It was small enough to be cozy, but also big enough to comfortably accommodate 2 people. Jessica really thought of everything when putting this yurt together! She left some snacks, good variety of coffee pods and creamers in the fridge, S’more’s kit, small toiletry items if needed in the bathroom, plenty of towels, toilet paper & tissues, a puzzle, playing cards, a few books, smart TV, etc. AC and heat stove worked amazingly! We only had one small issue while staying, which is not on the host. We had a power outage during the night because of the wind and woke up to find the fridge not working. I texted Jessica and she responded in minutes to offer solutions to fix it or to stop by if we needed her. It was a simple fix and I really appreciated her promptness to my text. I did use the washer/dryer combo and was pleased how easy it was to use. This has been my favorite VRBO to stay in and I am hoping to come back with my husband and pups in the future! This is really a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle! You are out in the country, so just be aware most things are about a 30 minute drive. I highly recommend staying here for a relaxing getaway!

Graduation getaway

It was a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. We did not spend as much time as we would like at the yurt due to our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech. It would be a great getaway retreat because the yurt is furnished with everything you need.

Sweet little secluded yurt

Loved our stay! If you’re looking to escape the craziness of life and enjoy the calmness of nature, this is the place to do it! It rained quite a bit during our stay but that didn’t take away from our experience one bit! Listening to the rain from inside the yurt was quite peaceful. The yurt was exceptionally clean and Jessica has everything you’d possibly need available within the yurt. Our only complaint was the firmness of the mattress. A mattress topper would have been wonderful. Besides the mattress, I can’t think of a single thing to critique… the yurt is just lovely! Thanks so much!

A perfect vacation

The yurt exceeded our expectation, Jessica went above,and beyond.we had everything we needed,and alot of things we didnt.The hike down to the water was great.It does test your endurance coming back up though.Still worth it though.We enjoyed staying there so much we didnt want to leave.If you are looking for a get away,and love the outdoors this is the place for you.Thank you for making this our perfect get away.WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING THIS AGAIN.

Love this place!

This is our second time staying here. My pup loves it! The area is amazing with so much to do and the Yurt has everything you could possibly need. The host is very responsive and helped me out when I had a car issue, giving recommendations of places to go. I would highly recommend this place and the awesome host!

Perfect Glamping Weekend!

We had the best weekend exploring Willis and Floyd, Virginia! We brought our dog and were able to spend time down at the creek, hiking, making a fire outside and enjoying some of Floyd’s restaurants. The Yurt was beautiful and cozy and we hope to come back in the fall!

Ultimate glamping getaway for a person or couple, and you can bring your dogs!

Impeccably maintained, stylish without being fussy, ultra-responsive owner, thoughtful details and all the creature comforts + nature. There’s enough to do in the fully stocked yurt and undeveloped natural environs that you don’t need to venture out if you’re visiting for a weekend, but if you want to, there’s plenty to do within 30 minutes’ beautiful drive in any direction. The Blue Ridge Parkway with all its splendor and wildlife is just a few miles away. Chateau Morrisette is a picturesque winery property that’s worth a visit, with Mabry Mill (the most photographed structure on the Parkway) literally right around the corner from the winery. The town of Floyd has music, restaurants, shops, quirks, and charm to boot. We loved stargazing (and saw multiple shooting stars!), hearing the rain and wind in the yurt during a brief rainstorm, and seeing the breathtaking sunsets, enjoying the cool mornings and evenings and warm days. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Yurt

Great yurt with all the comforts of home. I stay in a look pf vacation rentals and this one is very well equipped! They have everything you could need from a long nose lighter for camp fires to bug spray. There were even snacks waiting for us, stuff to make s'mores and treats for my pup. These people know how to run a rental and it shows with their attention to detail. We loved the hike down to the creek (hike up is a workout with 200ft of gain over .25 miles) and our dog loved all the wide open spaces to explore. Would definitely stay again.
