“Great place to stay, only 10 minute walk to Waitrose”

“The hotel is under refurbishment so building work going on. (Not advertised) Queen room booked to be told one wasn’t available because I had booked a standard. Had to contact Expedia who then refunded a small amount for inconvenience. Paid for three course dinner to be told there was only pizza or curry available no starters so had chips instead, did not eat curry as was undercooked chicken. Wrong dessert was then given out. (We were not the only disappointed diners with some asking refunds...

“4 star Hotel close to the Hospital in Basingstoke. Pool and Gym Service (if u pick up wrong time pool is full of old English ladies). Rooms are ok, nothing special, needs to be renovated. Bar is pricey for the location and hotel general condition. Recommend for quick customer visit at the hospital.”

“We had a two night stay here for our anniversary. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. ”

“Stanza molto grande e bella, letto comodissimo. La pecca era una temperatura un po’ bassa al mio arrivo. Nota dolente, non dipendente dall’hotel, un gruppo di 6 persone adulte che, durante la colazione alle 7 di mattina, facevano parecchio casino non curandosi degli altri ospiti presenti in sala. ”

“Clean room nicely appointed. Quaint bar with wood fire and good selection of drinks including local ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was cereals and breakfast sandwiches (bacon, eggs etc) . Would stay again if in that area.”

“Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. Room had everything we needed including a kettle which we didn’t expect. A selection of mismatched furniture but adequate for the room. We had food on the...
