“Check in was easy and seamless. Friendly greeting by receptionist! The room was spotless. Even the stairwells were clean. I don’t know if I ever have encountered clean stairwells anywhere! The breakfast had more than I anticipated. Again the breakfast area was clean and well maintained! Accolades to the managment and staff. It is almost impossible to find a hotel that checks all of the boxes!”

“What a wonderful stay. From the abdolutely nice place , beautifuly mentained, to a absolute clean room ,to a very nice loby room with all the amenities needed. The baggels and especialy the raspberry spread that was delicious, not to mention the hospitality the owners oferred was bar none. Mike made sure everybody and everything was great for a nice quiet stay. That makes it for a come back for sure. Absolutely reccomend this wonderful place 100% !!! “Alexandra and Anthonie were both super nice and friendly. When we arrived, they gave us a rundown of nearby restaurants to go and have dinner. Then showed us to our room and amenities. Room and bathroom were clean and comfy, wifi was fast there were extra pillows and blankets if needed. The area around the Inn is very cute, my girlfriend and i went for a walk in the nearby park in the morning and visited the Inn bookstore (we ended up buying 5 books lol). My only complaint is since our window...

“The Hungry Trout Resort is a classic place to stay if you are interested in fishing the Ausable River. Very convenient with private access to the river. The fly shop on premises is excellent with great guides! The Pub was great in years past but is closed now. I really hope it reopens. The upscale restaurant is very nice with great views of the falls. Overall a solid place to stay without the hustle of staying in Lake Placid but close enough to go there for dinner.”

“Staff was nice Room was fine except Sink faucet was broken and needed to be repaired to turn water off after I reported it AC was fine Parking was plentiful but felt unsafe. Cars were abandoned and others had people living out of them. One drunk young man told my wife she should go to his room in the elevator. This appears to be a motel used by long term monthly residents”

“Staff was nice. Breakfast was ok, initially was allowed to remove and take back to room but that changed. Only1 washer/ dryer for the whole hotel and dryer did not work well. Housekeepers eye wonderful. As a traveler i was not given a set rate for the room. I paid per week and depending on season it was a $170 difference from low to high. No cap for animals, again had to pay weekly and worked to get the rate lower.”
