Hotel a Dannemora

“Staff was helpful and nice, but I had to wait about 10mins to check-in as no one was at the desk at 10pm. Room was big but felt old and not well maintained. We had holes in our blanket, an awkwardly placed toilet with a weak flush, a shower with slides doors that almost came off, and noise from the plastic fitter of the air conditioning that kept smacking in the night from wind. Overall, we didn’t find any dirt or grime, but the property felt extremely dated and fragile in spots.”

“This property feels more like a wedding and event venue than a motel or a place to spend a relaxing day. The view is absolutely stunning, and the owner (or staff member who assisted us) was very kind and welcoming. The location is also excellent, as it is close to Champlain Centre and only about 8 minutes from the falls, making it very convenient for visitors. “The key cards to get in my room were constantly failing which required a return on no less than six occasions to reprogram the key card. This was most inconvenient and annoying! I had no shampoo or conditioner in my shower which was highly disappointing with wet hair and no way to wash it. “Sadly the pool area needed a good renovation, the hot tub brought in a fair amount of boiling water, which you could feel with your legs, and the shower had little pressure and heat. Breakfast was good but would of benefited from some fruits. 🍉 Sadly, not worth the price.”
