“I booked the Spruce Room, which has extremely dated pictures online. There have been years of use when you actually view the place. The kitchen has stains and marked up tiles, bathroom is barely clean with black mold in the back of toilet. All 4 of our beds had dirty linens and since there is no on-site manager, they had us raid the emergency shed and hopefully retrieve extra sheets. These sheets were all unusable. They reeked of mildew. Our family had nowhere to sleep that night, so we had to...

“We were originally meant to get one room but there was an issue so we ended up with two rooms with a connecting door, which was great except one room had ants in it and neither bathroom door locked.Super close to whiteface though which was super convenient. It seems like it was a work in progress, as one of the rooms had a much nicer and up to date bathroom than the other. Overall it was a decent stay but did not live up to our expectation.”

“The bathroom was very dirty, and we were not comfortable even using the shower. In addition, the front door does not lock at all, and we had to check in late due to the chalet not being ready. On the plus side, the beds were very comfy and the fireplace was a wonderful bonus. The chalet had a nice selection for tv channels. It needs some definite updating, but overall hosts did try to accommodate by offering us a free night- would recommend after renovations only. ”

“The rooms are nicely updated and the bedding was very comfortable! The reception area was beautiful and the outside seating area is perfect for summer evenings. Continental breakfast was ok but wish they had fruit as an option. Staff was all very friendly and accommodating.”
