Welcome to Butterfly Hideaway! Located beneath the live oaks of historic downtown Wilmington, above a bed of butterfly bushes and jasmine, this brand new 1 bedroom 1 bath carriage house apartment is 4 blocks from the Cape Fear riverwalk and 2 blocks to the Castle Street Arts District, located on a quiet block, and convenient to all local attractions. This well appointed carriage house unit features a 55" flat screen TV with streaming apps, high speed Wi-Fi, full kitchen with dishwasher, Keurig with complimentary coffee, tea, and and hot chocolate, dining area, premium bedding, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Living room includes a pull-out queen sofa bed with comfortable memory foam mattress. Stocked with board games and puzzles. Located behind the main home, the upstairs carriage house apartment has contact-free, keyless access. Wake up to beautiful views of church steeples before exploring the historic district with wonderful restaurants, craft breweries, and antique dealers, or venturing out to nearby beaches and wineries (stocked with beach towels and chairs). And bonus - the apartment is dog friendly for bringing along your fur baby (dog towels and some treats provided!) Whether you are visiting for concerts at Live Oak Pavilion, one of many local arts or craft festivals, a show at the Wilson Center or Historic Thalian Hall, a wedding, family reunion, or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you! The place was very nice and clean! Perfect size for just two of us. It was easy walking distance to the river walk area. Hosts were great with responding quickly and very nice and left great recommendations of what to do in the area. Hope to be back and be able to stay again!

Everything was perfect. Second time we were here and it was just at good as the first time if not better. Clean room, brought our dog and was like he was at home. Restaurants, shops, and bars are all in walking distance. The room was meticulously clean and all the amenities you can think of. I travel a lot for work and this room is much better than any hotel and by far the best VRBO I have stayed at.

Efficiently and tastefully designed with high-quality amenities. The location in the historic district was beautiful. We really enjoyed walking the neighborhood. It was an easy walk to the riverfront, and just a short drive to Wrightsville Beach. Highly recommend!

The butterfly house is top notch in every way. Wayne and Bobby go above and beyond to stock the house with any and all amenities and little extras you could hope for. The house is beautifully decorated, the bed is comfortable and the location is quiet. Will definitely book again!

Great little place. The check in packet is very thorough. The host provide lots of detail on the area and the apartment with recommendations for things to do a places to eat. The room is laid out well even though it’s small. Lots of convenient items in the room which the hosts explain in the welcome packet. Very pet friendly and very clean. We love this place

perfect stay in great location!

my teen daughter & i traveled for a mother/daughter trip with a friend and her daughter and we loved our stay here! the carriage house was the perfect size and located in walking distance to downtown. we enjoyed walks checking out the historic homes in the neighborhood and never felt unsafe. biggest perk: well-stocked amenities like toilet paper, not just one roll that runs out mid-trip :) thanks for being fantastic hosts, would definitely stay again!
