This is such a unique property and absolutely worth your time. We were completely taken back that the entire 200- ranch was where you got to stay. Pulling in, we loved the drive up to the house. Seeing the cows and driving across the "creek" was incredible. Being on a property like this was the equivalent of stepping into "old money" in Texas. Places like this are held for generations, and getting to enjoy them is 100% a dream come true. A few minor aspects to improve would be to simplify the fireplace set-up. We got the fire started, but it was a tad difficult, and secondly, trimming the trees directly around the house would be perfect - especially around the hot tub to open up the night sky. This place is a gem - and I really hope to return again. We will absolutely recommend to friends.

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. If you want to use the fireplace ask for the video to show you how to work it. Made it very simple. The house was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and have already talked about coming back again in the future

This is a spectacular home and sanctuary. Everything provided, the game table was a wonderful surprise. Be sure to ask management if the propane levels are high enough to use the fireplace. We weren’t able to use it. Overall this is a peaceful retreat with incredible views.

The cabin was clean, well appointed and the furniture was really nice. It had floor to ceiling windows with a killer view! We wanted to relax and relish in the peace and quiet of the scenic ranch. This place did not disappoint!

The house was perfect. If you are looking for remote and peaceful, this is the place. Amazing views! It is a little hard to find, so make sure to use the GPS provided. But we loved that it was very secluded.

Everything was wonderful. Went for a girls trip and got to really relax. However, the property was very difficult to find at first. I would recommend making the address easier to see from the road. We also tried to use the DVD player but were unable to figure out all the remotes. I think labeling the remotes would be useful. Other than that, we had an absolute blast and we will likely stay here again. The house was very nice and clean and cool when we arrived. I loved the fact that it had covered parking for the vehicle. Overall, it was a great place to stay and just relax!

Fantastic property! Finding it was a nightmare that required contacting the rental company for specific directions. Once we found it, it was smooth sailing…. The hot tub was warm & welcoming. The kitchen was spotlessly clean. Furniture was soft & comfortable. We hope to stay there again in the future.

My group thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful home and views, flowers. The first time we drove up the path, we were a bit intimidated, but after that, we were fine. Kitchen was well appointed, plenty of towels in the BRs. What can I say. Loved, loved, loved it.

This is our favorite property we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. The seclusion and peacefulness are unmatched. Close enough to town. Hosts were great and very responsive. So sad to leave. We definitely hope to come back.

The mile road

It’s a beautiful place. Great views paired excellent with the hot tub. We did have some hiccups: first off - DO NOT listen to google maps once you’re on the main FM road. Keep going and look for the rock with the address. Secondly, once you’re in the gate, be ready to drive another mile or so on a gravel road. The path is a little worn in, but there are also roaming cattle and a dip in the road. There is another gate blocking the cattle from getting on to the property. The area is HUGE. Lots of space to play outdoor games. While we were there, the weather would clear up by midday making room for amazing afternoons. It was super windy, the hot tub made it feel great! But did make trouble for using the fire pit - we did eventually get that going but bring fire starters in case of wind lol. The fire pit area has comfortable seating and great space to look right up at the star-filled sky. Inside is also pretty with a big kitchen. Figuring out the switches around the house was interesting. They do have a laundry room but bring your own detergent! Really appreciated that the place was stocked with towels and pretty much anything else you’d need. The morning we were packing to go, a spider landed in my hair. So definitely watch out for creepy-crawlies! It was super relaxing and fantastic Valentine’s weekend.

Country Retreat

We loved the location of the home. The trick here is to want to be secluded and quiet. We are ranch people and loved having the option to be away from town a bit. I would say you need to be aware to bring everything you will need. That is in reference coffee, tea, basics of anything in the kitchen. None of those items were provided and you do not want to have to make a trip back to town for them. Is a great space for one to 6 persons wanting peace and nature.

The home was very clean and perfect for our needs. The views were fabulous. The only drawback is that the hot tub could use a cleaning. There was a sediment ring at the top of the water and the hot tub interior was very slippery.

Review of Property

The house and property are beautiful. The road to the house was not expected.. taking bigger vehicles would have been ideal. The cows were not mentioned in the listing and a bit terrifying when they are blocking the gate. Also, the gate to exit wouldn’t work sometimes so we had to figure out other ways to open it. This house was a good experience just would have enjoyed more if we weren’t a group of girls.

Beautiful seclusion

Beautiful views and zero neighbors, This property sits on top of a hill and off the road down a mile long gated driveway. Very comfortable place. Nice beds and well equipped. Both hot tub and grill worked. Only thing that may put someone off is you have to drive your trash all the way to the road to put in the cans. I would stay here anytime
