“Super location steps from train station. Cozy and nice room. Best air conditioner in England! Superb private bathroom with great shower and lots of hot water. Nuce tea and coffee selection in our room. The staff are super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was absolutely Amazing! Again the best we have had in England. Will take care of your bags pre check in whilst you go tour the Cathedral. Over all i rate this a perfect choice and would highly recommend. Cheers ”

“For a 2 star hotel this was a perfectly adequate room and overall stay at a fair price. Comfortable bed with clean bed linen and towels. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but bizarrely no spoon to stir my morning coffee. Otherwise a functional yet comfortable room showing some signs of ageing.”

“When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise. It was a very unfortunate situation. We are from the USA and found out upon arrival in England that our cell phones were not working properly so...

“Wir haben das Hotel extra gebucht, weil es auch ein Restaurant hat. Leider schloss dies schon um 16:00, so dass es nicht möglich war dort das Abendessen einzunehmen. Wir mussten dann mit dem Auto nach Salisbury (10 Minuten) fahren, da das Hotel nicht zentral liegt. Beim Buchen war das nicht ersichtlich. Die jungen Frauen im Hotel waren sehr nett, aber der Besitzer ungehalten und unfreundlich. Das Zimmer war herzig. Der Temperaturregler der Dusche funktionierte aber nicht und wir duschten kalt....

“Great location, close to the high st. Good breakfast and really comfy bed, nice room (no4) let down by the bathroom though which is small with a poor layout and needs a refurb, we’d definitely stay again with the hope that the bathroom might be sorted.”

“We enjoyed a weekend in Dorset using this house as a base. We enjoyed the garden and the pool. Only suggestion is that the music system in the house needs an update.”

“We are a 3-generation family and the house was perfect. It is very spacious with excellent facilities and a private garden. The children enjoyed the trampoline and we all relaxed in the swim spa. The cinema room was a bonus on rainy days. Location worked well as a good base for visits across Dorset.”
