Ambiente tranquillo per questo rifugio contemporaneo con 2 camere da letto con un soffitto impennata e un sacco di vetro per ammirare l'ambiente naturale. Cucina moderna con mobili in ciliegio, elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile e ripiani in quarzo. Altre caratteristiche includono un accogliente caminetto, 2 terrazze, aria condizionata, letto a baldacchino per ospiti extra, grill a gas e una zona pozzo del fuoco per gli incendi. Strada tranquilla ma molto vicino a Devils Lake, Devils Head, Lake Wisconsin e tra Baraboo e Sauk City. Ottima fuga per leggere e rilassarsi o prendere i sentieri del Devils Lake o Parfreys Glen. Buoni ristoranti sono a 5-15 minuti dal ritiro. Un rifugio unico con un'ottima posizione!

Cozy architectural gem in the woods

Very cozy and modern accomdations just an 8 min car ride from devils lake state park. This cabin is nestled in the woods, surrounded by huge tress, singing birds, butterflies and more, a nature lovers dream. The kitchen is well equipt, the place is very clean and tidy. They are many interesting books to read and family fun games too. My family of 5 had a great time, swimming in Devils lake state park and hiking the trails. We had a fun time exploding downtown Baraboo too.

Another great stay at minimalist modern hideaway !

Great location and perfect stay for a group of 6 people.We enjoyed cooking in a modern open kitchen, playing board games, roasting marshmallows in a firepit, grilling delicious dinner .It is a perfect place to stay if you love "Devils Lake" state park. Very short drive and no hassle of packing all camping gear, -so you can spend more time exploring, hiking, fishing or just relaxing.Daron was very prompt and responsive to our messages.Will come back here again. Thank you for this little gem .

a visit home

Much better than expected. Enjoyed the higher quality items like the windows and doors and newer washer and dryer and more than needed kitchen. The location was exactly what I was looking for, out of the way but only 10 min from town. I was born in Baraboo, and come up to visit every couple years or so, and now I have a nice place to stay while I'm there. If you like it too, beware because I liked it so much I'm thinking of buying it. At the very least, I'd like a copy of the plans. A couple of points of interest. Was there during rain showers which lasted nearly the entire stay of 3 nights. There are giant 100 foot trees only 20-30 feet away, and during the storm I heard a tree go down deeper in the forest and it was loud and violent. That house would be a pile of match sticks had one of the trees nearer fell upon it. Also, there is a pebble walkway and it's about 15-20 yards to the pebble drive-way. This set-up promotes a messy floor at the house. Plus it makes it difficult for elderly people like me to bring in and out things like suitcases and coolers. It's not well designed from that stand point. The step into the house is higher than my sore knee liked it, causing me to grab hold and hug the beams holding up the little roof over the entrance way. If it were my place, I'd black top the drive way and the walk-way and raise the walk way so the step to the house is only 5 inches, instead of more than twice that much. Finally, it's a clean and neat place.

Ski Weekend

Daron's contemporary cabin in the woods was amazing. We were very close to Devil's Head Ski Resort and enjoyed a beautiful day of downhill skiing along with Cross Country skiing at Mirror Lake State Park. Everything was perfect!

Quite Retreat

Family Gathering

Unfortunately we could not enjoy our family gathering due to an illness. I did not purchase the travel insurance, and due to the short notice of cancelling our reservation - we were not authorized a refund. However, I communicated with the host, who was very professional and ensured me that there would be no hidden charges - and offered the possibility of a discount next time we are in the Baraboo area. Family members in the area drove by the property and said it looked lovely - and as advertised (at least from the outside!) Note to self (and others)... buy the travel insurance! We definitely will reach out to rent this property next time we're in town!

house, newer, clean, unkept lawn, no view

The house was clean, kind of small, setup ok. But we would not have stayed if we had seen the uncut/ unkept condition of the lawn/ landscape. You have a view of wild untouched wooded lot. Maybe that's what you want?

A Gem In The Woods

I had been visiting the Dells/Devils Lake area for years. After having done all the camping, waterpark complexes and hotels, it was time up grade the experience and this gem in the woods certainly did that. The modern style made my family of three feel right at home. The floorplan was just the right size and the oversized windows and streams of light that poured in made the space truly feel like outside-in living. The kitchen and household amenities were well equipped. Nothing more than groceries and firewood was needed. The only thing missing was a strong internet connection, which honestly wasn't missed at all as this was the least amount of work I had done while away in years. We enjoyed this gem in the woods and look forward to being back again and again

Lovely quiet, private location

The communication with the owner was fabulous! The home is very comfortable and well furnished. Easy to relax and hang out. Fairly close to stores and access to freeways. Highly recommend this unit.

Modern Cabin in the Woods

We enjoyed the amazing windows and modern conveniences at this rental. It is surrounded by trees which provides almost like a treehouse effect when inside. We loved the minimalism style and how the artwork reflected nature. If asked how the property may be improved, we would suggest the yard immediately surrounding the building be more maintained as it took away from how nice the cabin itself was and lent itself to more issues with bugs because of long weeds. We would also suggest expanding the driveway to have more of a turn round area and a sign by the driveway to make it a little more visible from the road. We would certainly consider staying at this rental again for the location and for how nice the cabin was. The beds were also super comfortable as well.

Devils Lake State Park

My daughter has always wanted to hike at Devils Lake State Park. We chose this property because of the proximity to the park and that it’s secluded. It is a beautiful house, very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.
