“A great place if you wana drive down the night before your cruise as its close to the terminal! Nice freindly staff, food exellent! The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. We where in a downstairs room so we had noisy upstairs occupants so when they walked across the room you could hear the footsteps and floorboards creaking! Fire alarm went off in the early hours but that cant be helped! Not a bad stay and i would stay there again. Highly recommend the fish&chips👌”

“My friends and family all had a lovely time at this little cottage in the countryside. Beautiful walks in the area and a lovely farm shop nearby with delicious items for your stay. Beaches and towns are also close by. One of the highlights for everyone was roasting marshmallows together in the evening before bed. The staff and contact were always a text away with anything that we required. Perfect for a solo or couples getaway or for families. ”

“Wonderful place to stay! Jean, the hostess, is an absolute delight. From the moment of our reservation she handled all of our needs and wishes with efficiency, warmth and charm. “The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes”
