A 5 miglia dall'ingresso sud, all'interno del Parco Nazionale Yosemite, questa affascinante casa si trova immersa tra i pini. Dispone di aria condizionata e riscaldamento centralizzati nuovissimi, 3 ampie camere da letto, 2 bagni, nuovi pavimenti in pietra nelle zone giorno, TV, wifi, lavatrice e asciugatrice, lavastoviglie, meraviglioso camino antico in pietra sul fiume e un ampio ponte appartato con barbecue. Dal mazzo puoi goderti le fantastiche ghiande, procioni, cervi, scoiattoli e scoiattoli che giocano tra gli alberi. C'è una camera da letto matrimoniale con letto king size, una grande seconda camera da letto con 2 letti matrimoniali e una bella 3a camera da letto con 2 letti singoli. Puoi camminare fino al fiume Merced fino alle piscine, visitare il vecchio Pioneer Village e rilassarti o giocare a golf e cenare nel vicino storico Big Trees Hotel. La casa è a pochi passi dal pittoresco mercato dei pini.
La casa si trova nell'affascinante città di Wawona, a 5 miglia all'interno del Parco Nazionale di Yosemite, a soli 15 minuti dal Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. Il Big Trees Hotel (precedentemente Wawona Hotel) è a cinque minuti di distanza dove puoi giocare a golf e tennis, fare un giro in carrozza e divertirti a cavallo. Siamo a pochi passi dal fiume Merced dove è possibile pescare e nuotare in estate, nonché prendere il sole sulle luccicanti rocce piatte nel fiume impetuoso. Puoi anche goderti un'escursione alle cascate di Chilnualna e al ponte girevole o passeggiare sul Meadow Loop Trail. C'è una cucina raffinata presso lo storico Big Trees Hotel, un campo da golf a 9 buche, passeggiate e discorsi Ranger e un affascinante vecchio Pioneer Center.
Badger Pass Ski Lodge e Glacier Point distano 35 e 50 minuti. Yosemite Valley, dove le cascate Yosemite, Bridalveil e Vernal / Nevada e El Capitan si trovano a 35 minuti da casa nostra.
Le attività invernali includono sci alpino, sci di fondo, slittino e racchette da neve nel vicino Badger Pass e pattinaggio sul ghiaccio sotto Half Dome in the Valley.

The air conditioner was not working when we arrived. Owner responded quickly and had it repaired that day. House smelled stale. Appeared not to have been used or aired-out for a while. Furniture and decor were “tired/old” looking. There were no dish towels or cloths in the kitchen. There was no laundry soap or fabric softener. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be in the park.

We stayed for 5 nights. When we arrived the place was moderately cleaned. There are spider webs and dust inside. Also, the cleaned towels were still left in the dryer. The grill outside did not work. We swapped the propane tank, still nothing. The utensils were ok, pots and pans needed to cleaned before use. The master bedroom bed was very uncomfortable. Very bouncy and lumpy. Overall it’s ok, I don’t think the price we paid for the stay is justified

Nice cabin, lots of space, quiet and comfortable, enormous deck. Inside the park but about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley. Wawona has a very nice market in walking distance of the cabin, and a gas station on the main road. There are hiking trails in the area but we didn’t have time to use any of them — too short a stay! Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect cabin in the woods

We loved this cabin. It was on a quiet road in the woods but was still conveniently located close to the little Wawona market. It was clean and had everything we needed.

Overall, the area is quaint and cute around the home with the market and river. The home itself needs some tender, love and care. Cobwebs and bugs were in corners. The porch needs attention with nails popping and paint peeling. Beds were comfortable. The baking sheet to use to cook was so old and gross I couldn’t put food on it even after washing it. The most disappointing for us was the value/cost after realizing the Yosemite Cottages at the Redwoods had three bedroom/two bathrooms for half the cost and more updated.

Mouse Poop DITRY

Upon arrival we found mouse poop throughout the entire kitchen especially in the silverware drawer. When I texted Daniel he apologized and said he would “try” to get someone out to clean the house. No one ever showed up and we never heard from Daniel again. One of the queen beds was broken and spiderwebs in the living room. By far the most disgusting rental we have ever stayed in.

Nice place to stay inside Yosemite

Great location for staying at Yosemite. Overall we were happy with our stay. Rooms were nice and living area was fun to have with our group of six. Loved the deck. We felt we may have been the first visitors for the season. Host was very responsive and helpful. I would stay there again.

Beautiful stay

Our family of four enjoyed our 3-night stay at this cabin. It is well stocked with linens and dishes. My husband and I enjoyed looking at the stars on the deck at night.

Summer vacation

The house was great and very clean with a just a few exceptions. The dishwasher was left full of dishes and the refrigerator had puddles of water in the drawers. The deck was big and spacious, however you had to be careful as there were nail heads sticking up all over. With that being said, we had a great time and would stay there again. Loved seeing the deer everyday and just being in trees.

Great Location, Roomy, Clean

We really enjoyed our stay at this rustic cabin. We booked late, and felt lucky to be able to stay in the park, especially when we saw the long lines to get in as we departed! The beds were especially comfortable, and wifi and television reception were fine. It was very clean and linens and towels were plentiful. Dishwasher and washer/dryer were much appreciated! I cooked and made picnic lunches with ease. As others noted, weathered wooden decks are prone to popped up nails, so shoes are a must. After you enter the park, the Wawona area is close, and from this cabin you can walk to Pine Tree Market for forgotten items. Just past this store, turn left to go toward Chilnualna Falls. It's a short distance by car to parking area and it's an easy walk to the falls. Mariposa Grove is back toward the south entrance, but I'd put it last on things to see in Yosemite. Still, it's a short drive and a shuttle bus will ferry you from the parking lot. The drive to Valley is maybe a bit longer than 35 minutes, but that's a close estimate.Get there early and keep your parking spot. Glacier Point Road is on the right before you get to the Valley entrance. Several miles down this road you'll get to Sentinel Dome and Glacier Point Overlook. -Sunset on Sentinel Dome is amazing (moderate 1+ mi. hike), viewing at Glacier Point overlook is at the parking area. Location of this cabin was excellent, and other than National Park sites, I didn't see other sites that would be appreciably closer.

Ideal cabin for a group in the Ponderosa woods. Lots of room and very comfortable. The deck needs some work but otherwise a lovely place. Five hiking seniors enjoyed the ease of driving to the main sites, waterfalls, Yosemite valley and hiking trails. Would go back again!

Lovely cabin conveniently located in Yosemite Park

I booked this cabin for a family trip to Yosemite, and this was my first time using VRBO. The communication with the property’s owner was great. I received all of the information in advance of my stay. The cabin is centrally located right in Yosemite, only 30 minutes from Oakhurst and Yosemite Valley. The kitchen contained nearly everything we needed to enjoy family meals, and having the fireplace with plenty of firewood came in handy during the chilly nights. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. With that said, I would like to make 2 suggestions. First, I would highly recommend checking the deck for any needed repairs because there are some splintered areas and areas where nails have popped up over time. This would allow renters to enjoy the deck more. Second, the cabin had the appearance that it hadn’t been rented in a while because there were a lot of cobwebs, dead insects on the floor, and the toilets had rings in them. I’m sure the property is cleaned between renters but it would be nice to check it again for a light cleaning if there are long gaps between rentals.

Cabin in Wawona

A group of high school friends, now in our 60s, stayed for 3 nights at the cabin. The location was excellent, with a village store right down the street, some hiking trails close by, and the Giant Sequoia Grove a short drive. The cabin was well furnished and we had all we needed there. It was about a 45 minute drive to Yosemite village.

Alpine Paradise stay

Our family stayed at the home for a summer visit to Yosemite. It is was adequate and comfortable for our group. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin because we were out doing activities. The location is convenient to a lot of the park (about and hour from Yosemite Valley). Overall it was a good stay, and we didn’t have any problems with the house.

Clean, but very dated.

Loved being in the park and we were not on the property much because we were hiking so much. Had everything we needed. No exhaust fans in bathrooms, windows didn’t lock and deck was rotting in places and many nails sticking up. If we had young kids with us, we would have been really concerned.

Great family reunion in Wawona

We had a great time. The house was perfect and we did some awesome hikes up to Sentinel Dome, Taft Point and the Waterfalls.
