The only issue we had was getting picked up from the airport however it not working smoothly for myself and husband the pick up of my daughter went absolutely smoothly. All othe transport was great!

Simply lovely service and hospitality from staff
We really enjoyed our 2 nights at Golden Tulip Zanzibar Resort. The room was great, and the service was - actually - some of the best we have experienced. Shout-out to "The Machine" and "The Masaai Boy" for excellent performance of their duties, and to be so hospitable. The location is not ideal, since the shoreline is not only lacking of sand, but also it is filled with very sharp volcanic stone, but this is something that I was prepared for. The distance from Stone Town is also something I knew beforehand. The stay at this hotel was one of my absolute highlights of my trip to Tanzania, and I can only recommend it. The service was really something to remember.

Having stayed in many hotels, I appreciate this hotel's 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. It made it easy for my family of 4 to have my brother join our trip, without needing to secure a second suite! This hotel, although having ocean views, is not truly ocean/beach accessible, fortunately, they have a pool. The hotel's restaurant, located on the 5th floor (top) offers beautiful views of the ocean when dining. Aside from not having ocean access, I would stay here again.

Our stay was overall fine. The room was nice as well as the hotel. The food was not that good for a hotel but was fine. We reserved a taxi from the airport but he was 45 minutes late!

Restaurant had a decent menu but they don’t have alcohol on the premises,I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants and this is a first. Got an ocean view room for an extra charge and the windows hadn’t been cleaned in months and about impossible to see thru, nothing to do or other restaurants within walking distance

This is one of three properties with the same name. Was not a proper “beach front” property as there was no sand, instead jagged dirty coral the was not safe or suitable for walking. Also off main busy road so nowhere to walk or explore around the hotel

I didn’t like the way the outside of the hotel looked when I arrived, and the room that I was supposed to stay in was mediocre. There was also a cockroach in the bathroom. I paid to stay at the hotel for 10 days, but I left after spending the night there!

two major issues
a bit out of town. big rooms but those rooms towards the street suffers a very noisy street. a big issue. the other big issue is no beach. rocky and small. no way to go into water. beautiful panoramic view but no touch.

Suite was amazing, great size and layout. So much space that we felt like a home from home. Food was good and value for money. Breakfast a little slow but very satisfactory, manager always checking on us. Gym just enough to do the basics. Pool small but nice. No other facilities, a pool table would have been nice. This is a non-alcohol so bring your own if you need.

Extremely clean, which was nice to see. My main issue was with the windows on the city view rooms…sleeping is extremely difficult as the windows are made of wood, and I felt I was sleeping on the road with the insane noise of the motor bikes and cars.
