The Space:

The Alpine Experience by Tiny Away offers peaceful tiny house living in Zell-Freibach, just 39 minutes from Klagenfurt am Wörthersee. Nestled in an open meadow in the heart of the Karawanks, our mobile homes are surrounded by forests, meadows, and stunning mountain views, with free-roaming chickens, ducks, deer sightings, and hiking trails right at your doorstep.



From canyoning and mountain biking to frisbee golf, snowshoeing, sledding, and alpine skiing, there’s plenty to enjoy around this tiny house retreat in Zell-Freibach. Explore nearby attractions including Freibach Reservoir, Fishery Steffan, Wörthersee, Wildensteiner Wasserfall, Klagenfurt, and Ljubljana, while the nearby cross-country ski trail is just a 3-minute walk away.



This cozy 252-square-foot tiny home features a sleeping area, a fully functioning kitchenette, air conditioning, heating system, and and bathroom facilities such as a shower and a caseette toilet with a waste holding tank.



IMPORTANT NOTE: Our tiny houses are approximately 60 metres from the main house, with four mobile homes, “The Alpine Experience 1–4,” available for group bookings with 24 hours’ advance notice. They can accommodate 12–16 people and are suitable for families, small company outings, and occasional celebrations with friends.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surroundings.



Preorders and other amenities are available for a small fee:



- Enjoy private sauna use, the large fire pit, gas BBQ grill, or personal training with a fitness expert, with advance booking required.

- Organic Breakfast Available, and upon request for €15 per person or €25 for two. Choose between a Fitness Plate or Healthy Bowl, made with fresh organic ingredients.



The difference:



🍓 Healthy Bowl – granola, with yogurt, skyr, fresh fruits, nuts, seeds, superfoods, etc.

🥑 Fitness Plate – fresh bread with a selection of healthy savory sides, including cold cuts, farm fresh eggs, etc.



The Neighborhood:

The Alpine Experience 1 by Tiny Away is situated in the peaceful countryside of Zell-Freibach, just a 39-minute drive from Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, the capital city of the southern Austrian province of Carinthia.



Nearby, explore Fishery Steffan, Alpengasthof Malle, and the scenic Wörthersee, perfect for fishing, hiking, swimming, and relaxing by the lake. You can also discover traditional Austrian cuisine at Gasthaus Terklbauer, explore the limestone caves at Hochobir Tropfsteinhöhlen, and hike through Tscheppachschlucht or visit the peaceful Wildensteiner Waterfall.



For a city escape, Klagenfurt offers historic architecture, cultural attractions, shopping, and local cuisine. You can also take a trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s charming capital, known for its picturesque old town, bridges, and vibrant cultural scene.



Getting Around:

By car:



From Zell Pfarre to Ferlach you need 15 minutes with a 2WD. Here you get everything you need.

The Capital of Kärnten Klagenfurt ist 30 minutes far away with a 2WD.



By public transport:



A Bus takes you in the morning and in the Afternoon to Klagenfurt. It takes about 2 Hours.

- No smoking allowed inside the tiny house

- There are two tiny houses on the property

- Mobile phone reception has a good signal

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- We have "Drinking Water" sourced from the fresh mountain spring

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge



Pets Policy



- Pets are welcome for €15 per pet, paid directly to the land host, with 24 hours’ advance notice and must be kept on a leash at all times due to livestock on the property. The rest of our rules and guidelines will be sent prior to booking.



Amenities free of use:

- ⁠A hammock for the woods upon request

- ⁠Various board games for families and couples



Important note:



- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
