“This is a fairly new, smallish hotel. The room and beds were comfortable. Cleaning staff, if I remember correctly, cleaned the room every other day, which was fine for us. The room with 2 queen beds is long and narrow, with a useful seating area at one end but not much storage, and a bit of a tight squeeze between the bed and the desk. Bathroom is nice and clean. “The folks at Sens Hotel were so helpful and kind. I canceled one room on Expedia 48 hours before, but it didn't show up as canceled for Hotel Sens', or on Expedia for that matter. Sens canceled the room on their end, then Expedia showed the upcoming refund. The folks at Sens were very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely go back. The hotel is right in the middle of North Berkeley's foodie row.”

“The good: Great welcome by front desk. Good food available. Nicely decorated property. Not so good: Long queue and wait for valet parking. Hair found on makeup face towels (gross), and room not very clean. Limited options for in room coffee (not enough for two people).”

“Loved my stay! Beautiful historic building, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The boutique atmosphere made it feel much more special than a typical hotel. Once you step inside, it feels like you're somewhere on vacation in Europe. No elevator, but actually the staircase was beautiful (and manageable). Courtyard was charming too. They keep the building secured by giving you an access code. Good restaurants nearby. Excellent value. Would definitely stay again.”
