With a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, the great room is flooded with natural light and is home to the dining area, living room, and billiards room! Indulge in some friendly competition or cozy up on the plush sofa as you warm up by the wood-burning stove and watch your favorite show on the TV. When everyone builds up an appetite, the well-equipped kitchen boasts doubles ovens, stainless steel appliances, eclectic tile, a gas range, and a Nespresso machine, so the chef of the group will feel right at home. We had a wonderful stay overall! The house was exactly as pictured—clean, comfortable, and accurately represented in the listing. It had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend in South Lake Tahoe.The only minor challenge was the front door lock, which was a little confusing at first, but once we figured it out, it wasn't an issue.The biggest disappointment was that the internet wasn't working during our entire stay. Since Wi-Fi is an important amenity for many travelers, it would have made the experience even better if it had been available.Overall, we really enjoyed the property and would definitely consider staying here again, especially if the internet issue is resolved.

This place feels abandoned and not upkeep. The photos make it feel like a lively home but it is far from it. Although certain parts of the house has been remodeled, it doesn't make up for the fact that this is a old house. The floors were filthy dirty because my kids feet/socks were black within minutes of walking the home. There were spider webs throughout the house. I read a prior review of the property that the WiFi was not working and the host replied that they were sorry about it and that they would fix it. Well the WiFi didn't work for us as well. It ruined our night plan of watching a movie with the kids since we couldn't connect the TV to WiFi. I made all of these complaints to the host and although the host timely responded, I got the feeling they weren't going to do anything about it. Why would they. They already got paid for our 2 night stay. Also, since the house does not have AC we were not able to cool off the home during the evening times because all of the windows do not have screens. The moment we opened the windows to allow the cool air to enter the home a bunch of bugs started flying in. There were some fans inside the house that allowed us to cool off a bit but it was an inconvenience since we had to move them around the house. They need window screens. I would not recommend this place and I will return to booking my stays in SLT at the very nice and clean hotels nearby. At least the hotels do something about whatever issue their patrons have.
